North Central RST Policy

Regional and National Approvals

(Policy 07-Mar-2001) Here are some working guidelines for treasure creation. These are based directly on material from the ANST-Changeling. Anything beyond these guidelines, I would consider it a serious candidate for the WSIP list.

  • Level 1: One trait bonus, no Arts; slight drawback, no Glamour to activate
  • Level 2: Two trait bonus or one Basic Art; slight drawback, possible Glamour to activate
  • Level 3: Three trait bonus or two Basic or one Intermediate Art; simple drawback, Glamour to activate
  • Level 4: Four trait bonus or two Basic *and* one Intermediate Art, or one Advanced; simple-to-significant drawback depending on Art Level, Glamour to activate
  • Level 5: Whatever the RST agrees to; extremely significant drawback

I would also like to see costs for using treasures. I do not mean just spending Glamour. I mean stuff that the Dreaming and these treasures require of the user. After all, PCs shouldn't be getting these treasures because "I deserve them." They should be getting them because the Dreaming and Fate allows them to. Costs might be recharging in the light of a full moon ontop of the tallest tree in the county to practically anything difficult, challenging and in theme.
