Lead IC Positions

(Policy 15-Oct-2000, replaces 15-Dec-1999) When the lead storyteller for an area is also plays the IC lead for the venue, frequent COI (Conflict of Interest) issues arise. While a number of these can be avoided, the storytelling support for the area suffers from the manipulations needed to avoid such conflicts. In addition, the perception and confidence of fairness is affected.

This policy covers domains and their DST's and solitary chapters and their CST's. If one of the storyteller's characters assumes a leadership position in the venue, they have less than 45 days to extract their character from the position.

Leadership positions include but are not limited to: Leading noble in the Changeling venue, Prince in the Cam-Anarch venue, Sept Alpha in the Garou venue, Leading bishop/archbishop in the Sabbat venue, among others.

All pre-existing situations to this policy have been given an explicit deadline. As of 12/01/00, all of pre-existing situation deadlines have expired.
