North Central RST Job Description

Regional Advisor (RA)

Reason for Position
We have a large number of venues, all of which White Wolf has created a deep and interesting background material for. Each regional advisor is person that was chosen to provide advice to anybody that is interested in that venue. The Regional Advisor for a venue needs to be thoroughly grounded in that venue. They are not part of the approval process or storyteller hierarchy (but they may still be consulted in such.)

The RA's are asked to promote the venue, both to storytellers and players in the region. If you have a question concerning concepts in the venue, they are the perfect person to ask. In addition, they can also be consulted regarding venue specific rules by the storytellers.

I would suggest that players wishing to writeup a special approval character consult them. The RA can also provide assistance and support, and will often consult with the various storytellers in the approval process.

Storytellers can ask them for help in writing venue sheets for that venue: a great way to have your venue tie into the region. People can ask them for help in setting up and plotting out motivations of NPC's normally in that venue (i.e. both venue and cross-venue NPC's.) They will also be working with the continuity for the venue region-wide.

The RA is responsible for the regional wide background for the venue. They also serve as a connection from our region-wide background to the national background -- they will be coordinating with their equivalents on the national staff.

Ultimately, you can look at the RA as an overall general go-getter for that venue anywhere around this region.

To clarify, the Regional Advisor is not another level of bureaucracy, they are instead a tremendous resource for the region.

The concept for this position was inspired by the Speciality Advisor position.
