Session Start: Tue Jun 19 19:52:49 2001 *** Now talking in #nc-rst *** Topic is 'This is NC RST Discussion Group (Used to discuss story, approvals, and other things not related to the rules) - For official clarifications and rules, contact the RST at ncrst@camarilla.org - Office Hours (Some Tuesdays 9pm-11pm CST: 19-Jun-2001, 03-Jul-2001)' *** Set by busybody-ooc on Wed Jun 06 12:26:43 *** ChanServ sets mode: +o busybody-ooc * busybody-ooc waves Probably going to be quiet night... ::g:: Thought I would hang out incase anyone REALLY wanted to talk to me Cool... * ThomW grins How goes it Catching up on email... I've gotten together a region-wide ST meeting for this weekend. Now to anticipate topics! *** Jimi_OOC (Jimi@PPPa93-ResaleKansasCityB4-2R7090.dialinx.net) has joined #nc-rst * Jimi_OOC is eating dinner, but wanted to get logged on... Just a warning... I may be off the air (so to speak)... ... that lighning is getting close... * busybody-ooc waves at Jimi *** _Nix_1 (ShortPasty@ACA46875.ipt.aol.com) has joined #nc-rst <_Nix_1> blarg. *** sarah-ooc (scurnutt@adsl-65-64-103-60.dsl.kscymo.swbell.net) has joined #nc-rst *** Curb-Stomp (finn_mac_c@153.denver-03-04rs.co.dial-access.att.net) has joined #nc-rst Curb Stomp=Dave, Ra Garou * sarah-ooc waves * ThomW grins * Curb-Stomp waves * ThomW waves * busybody-ooc waves * busybody-ooc notes that he might lose power in the storm (just a possibility) *** sarah-ooc (scurnutt@adsl-65-64-103-60.dsl.kscymo.swbell.net) Quit (Ping timeout) * Curb-Stomp probably won't be in for long * _Nix_1 makes a note of that I am still thinking of a Garou mini-Regional over labor day week end, what does everyone think of Rafting and Camping? (I apologize now for my poor spelling) <_Nix_1> hmmm <_Nix_1> could be cool <_Nix_1> spelling looks good so far. :) There are places in both Colorado and Wyoming or Montana, preferences? Utah too, but that's not really in our Region <_Nix_1> hmmmmmm Colorado would probably be best, south Wyoming... Umm close to the GL region I would think South Wyoming are the onjly places I have seen in that state, Colorado has a lot of options Camping very cool... Rafting? .... <_Nix_1> Would have to colloborate with Laura on that methinks. Always keep the coordinators involved... During the day, as an option, gaming in the evening (once it cools down) Laura is involved <_Nix_1> cool Cool. Labor day weekend is probably a good time... <_Nix_1> Kay got a general rules question-Obtenebration, Tenebrous Form. Can you speak while in this form? I thought that would be a time when a lot of people might have vacations The KC people who overlap with RenFest will have problems, but it's probably about the best choice. brb Nix, is Ren Fair still going on in Colorado at that time? <_Nix_1> Hell yeah. ...back <_Nix_1> It's open right now in fact. Probably won't still be going on there. <_Nix_1> I'm Dan ooc btw. :) Labor day weekend - still horribly hot in KC, but should be beautiful there. It's not as hot in Colorado, especially in the mountians <_Nix_1> sometimes. <_Nix_1> Other times, especially at Ren Fest, it can get devilishly hot. * ThomW grins I've also got some noises about a Cam-anarch mini-regional going on as well. I want to see a Garou mini-regional this time around ::g:: GAROOOOOOO!!! * busybody-ooc notes that the NC is virtually visiting NC <_Nix_1> lol Ohh that is painful. *** sarah-ooc (scurnutt@adsl-64-123-238-80.dsl.kscymo.swbell.net) has joined #nc-rst Labor Day weekend sounds real good... I'd be there in a heartbeat and with it being a 3 day weekend for practically everyone, that will make travel a bit easier. what did I miss? * busybody-ooc whispers to Sarah "talk about a garou mini-regional" OoOo, where? Ok, then all we need to do is prepare plot, I'll git with Tori on it Anyone else want to help storytell? Sounds like a great birthday present... Hey Mikey! I wanna go to a mini regional for my birthday! Colorado/southern Wyoming. Notes that camping and a garou game sounds like a great present... Rafting? We'll get the word out about storytelling and volunteers... Rafting good.... First, get with the coordinator side and let's get the site nailed down... I haven't been rafting since I was in the Boy Scouts, but I know several places with tours and guides, we might bve able to arrange a discount package Tori can always recruit extra ST staff. She's much better at it than some venue leads. Like me, for instance ... *** Curb-Stomp is now known as Dave_Ra_Garou *** sarah-ooc (scurnutt@adsl-64-123-238-80.dsl.kscymo.swbell.net) Quit (Quit: ) *** ThomW (rc@adsl-216-63-54-15.dsl.stlsmo.swbell.net) Quit (Quit: ) I am going to get going, but I will get with Laura and Tori and see what I can have oput together before the next RA Garou Report comes out *** Dave_Ra_Garou (finn_mac_c@153.denver-03-04rs.co.dial-access.att.net) has left #nc-rst Hmm. Labor Day is the 9th? Or 2nd... I'll toss out a pseudo-topic. What do people want to discuss at the ST meeting this weekend? <_Nix_1> won't be there, alas. I'll ask Neil he'll be there. I know that Travis won't be making it either - anyone else from the Springs? <_Nix_1> don't think so. <_Nix_1> I won't, and well we're sans CSTs right now. * _Nix_1 smirks *** L-Tornasuk (~someone_c@216.96.31.86) has joined #nc-rst hello everyone * busybody-ooc waves * _Nix_1 waves as we <_Nix_1> ll Dan - still any subjects you think might be of interest for the meeting this weekend? <_Nix_1> Hmmm <_Nix_1> Perhaps it would be good to discuss STs themselves and their responsibilities, to their members and to the organization as a whole to ensure they know the rules and more importantly know how to run a good story. I noted today in the BoD report that the ST Guide is nearing release. Wonder if it will be of value... It will have some value, even if only by giving a reference point to work from. Given that it's been under review from storytellers in other countries... it may have picked up some useful and differenant viewpoints... * busybody-ooc notes that he missed that in the BoD summary... Hey, Jimi! What subjects do you feel might be of interest at the meeting this weekend? (fishing away...) brb *** Neil_OOC (CyricP@ACA8243A.ipt.aol.com) has joined #nc-rst Hello * _Nix_1 hits Neil with a wet carp Only Jason Carter had that authority, don't you remember? :P <_Nix_1> oh yeah. <_Nix_1> Well it was from him...yeah. * _Nix_1 hits Neil with a Nerf carp <_Nix_1> there * busybody-ooc waves at Neil Not a clue, Brian. Obviously we ought to come up with a Regional vision... * Neil_OOC waves at everyone * _Nix_1 waves emphatically A regional Vision? * L-Tornasuk waves back. What needs and purpose do people see a Regional Vision serving? <_Nix_1> Providing good communicating to all levels of the region down to Chapter level what the regional game and World looks like, so we're all on the same page. <_Nix_1> ? Well, are speaking as an ST Vision or Coordinator Vision for the region? Each would have a vastly different use... ST focus for now, but the coordinator take could be looked at as well... <_Nix_1> would think ST. :) I could see something akin to a Regional Venue Sheet being used, but to be honest it seems like an added level of red tape that may not be used often I wasn't referring to a Vision Statement here. We aren't quite that corporate. I meant more the philosophy by which we approach the game, the things that we as a Region can agree are beneficial to the venues. * Neil_OOC nods By vision, I mean a clear idea that the players are the purpose, the Story is more than the sum of the rules, and being an ST is a priviledge rather thna a duty. I would see a regional VSS as providing a base background for the region - ex: Wyoming has lots of lupines outside of areas that have games. A "Vision" I think describes a more OOC take to our approach... We don't do this for 20 Prestige a month, folks. nope we do this so our friends can have fun * busybody-ooc there's enjoying it, and helping our friends enjoy themselves with WW's toys We love it, or it wouldn't be done at all. I mean our vision as relates to the Story. We cannot "create clarity through a synergy of paradigms" like some Wall street corp. But we CAN agree that the game is bigger than the limitations we put on it, can't we? Well, you could certainly write a great deal on the balance between providing ST control over all asppects of local games for friends enjoyment, and the impact of the regional/national/global game.. Maybe detail a philosophy on how to approach this? At a Regional level, I think it would benefit us all to agree on certain things. The XP award at games, for example, could be standardized so no longer would some places draw more players simply because they award one more point than the game an hour away. (And don't get hung up on the example, please) * Neil_OOC grins (Tori on phone.) We could agree that sometimes our Regional plots should kick off in a less-commonly attended game, so we could help build that game up. We could agree that Nephandi aren't orcs. Lots of stuff... * busybody-ooc notes that he'll be bring a few logs like this to the meeting this weekend to provide some starting points - probably condenseed a bit... * Jimi_OOC stares of into space for a few minutes (BRB) * Neil_OOC laughs *** _Nix_1 is now known as L_Nix_1 Nephandi orcs... interesting This weekend will definitely be a great place to make progress toward something a shared vision. I'm hoping to catch people there that we don't normally get otherwise. lol Ick. Now do you intend to create a vision statement which can be distributed to the ST's of the region? Something to help establish the flavor of our ST philosophy on the whole? The problem is two fold. A chapter exists to provide a shared vision. The domain and regional level have to work mutliple visions together. However, there has to be some consistancy. * Neil_OOC nods Back to my comment about the gap between local and regional chronicles style of play... The principle of a domain is comprimise and to a greater degree that is true on the regional level. This is a *very* coordinator spin on things. Storyteller take is slightly different... ::thinks:: What do you see as this gap between local and regional chronicles? * busybody-ooc continues fishing... Perhaps a lack of proper implementation on the part of local STs in regards to regional plotlines? Well, in the typical game I come across there is poor communications outside of the domain aside from mIRC. Even the lists are rarely used to a degree I feel they could be. * L_Nix_1 nods *** Paul_Adams_CST_Co12 (mikhailchr@c1658749-a.pueblo1.co.home.com) has joined #nc-rst One reason for the regional prestige - list usage - plotkit concept. But I haven't seen that work yet. * busybody-ooc waves at Paul! In certain cities there is even a hesitance to involve outside players to have impact upon game. Hey Paul :) Hey * Jimi_OOC is back * busybody-ooc muses "Poor IC communications outside of domain" Of course, that lets the local domain/game develop it's identity. But the players should have the tools available *if and when* they want them to access more of the global game. Hmm. * L_Nix_1 nods That's it. In one place, Monomacy is common. In another, it's almost unheard of as a casual way to settle disputes, and is deadly serious. In one place, Elysia are temporary; in another, they never go away. In one place, the Umbra is mysterious; in another, it's indistinguishable from an overgrown park. this would be a lot of work, but what would you guys think of an IC monthly/weekly newspaper even a mortal one that lets the kindred know the general attitude of the world around them. Which brings up a question. If a smaller minority of players want global/regional involvement in their PC's IC efforts, but the majority do not... what does one do? * L_Nix_1 nods in agreement *** L_Nix_1 is now known as L_SP_OOC hrm. that didn't work. By not assisting each other in establishing a common understanding of some elements of each venue, players come to other Domains or Chapters and find the whole game world operates on different principles. Well, I believe Jen Brown just took over the regional newsletter. We as ST's could do ourt best to support this through submissions *** SandraP (sandypa@p40n21.ruraltel.net) has joined #nc-rst * busybody-ooc waves at Sandra *** L_SP_OOC is now known as L_DanPage_OOC exactly * busybody-ooc notes key phrase "Common understanding of basic elements." I've noticed a definite lack of continuity regarding each venues idea of what is "normal" in the WoD. When we as STs change the parameters of the core rules of the WoD, we leave our players fumbling when they encounter games running along other interpretations. Let's toss out some examples of "basic elements". Elysium LOL, a big one! Monomacy The fumbling can occur with even basic rule interpetations. Umbral travel Dreaming access. Status Nephadi Clan vs. Coterie * busybody-ooc notes that he's got a project with frequent rule interpetations (but I have some leery subconsious reservations that direction...) Status!!! Clan vs Fraternity Influences Yes, Brian. Status. In all venues that use it. Influences? Changeling status (ick.) Dragons in changeling. * busybody-ooc notes that he feels pretty changeling heavy... Renown BUT! Renown and kinfolk is not a basic element... or is it? Wraiths crossing the shroud, garou and the gauntlet crossings... Yes, even the use of influences can vary from place to place... although not as bad as other aspects of the game. Dragons are a particular thing. I'd say instead Chimerae. And for that matter, spirits. Totems and their motivations. * busybody-ooc notes that Prime specifically encourages differing influence use ::sigh:: Does that give you a start? Wraith in general. * Neil_OOC chuckles :P we can keep going... Please keep going... All this in one meeting.. hmm.. I think we'll need to pick and choose from the list when we get to Hayes Woohoo Dragons! ahem. :) Some of the regional vision appoarch can be assisted with "Venue Articles", kind of like that one on Seekings I solicited from somebody ::g:: Government involvement on the National level (FBI, NSA, CIA) My proposition is simple: we come up with a common understanding of each venue's essential nature, and hand it over to a Regionally-selected ST to help keep these things in line. An RA has no authority in story. I'll provide some ones from chapters that aren't present: Conclave. Archon. Harpy. Oh, nice compliment on the Seekings. Thanks, Brian! Harpy ties in with Status. But it is a possible solution: Articles and education rather than authority. The authority part is only so effective. There's one. I'm always confused as to EXACTLY how in the Camarilla Status works and Court positions and removing Status, gaining it, negative Status and the like. * busybody-ooc notes that he's is going to do his level best not to get into non-ST subjects ::g:: I don't mean "do it or we'll replace you" authority here, Brian... * busybody-ooc looks at an archive with Jenn's status primer in it... * busybody-ooc I need to salvage and get up stuff from that archive... ... I mean "let me go over these terms as the other STs in the Region have agreed upon them" authority. I think he means... this person is the one with the right answer kind of authority. Well, status is something that needs to be reflected in game.. it is an in game mechanic just as much as it is an out of game rule exactly. Status in C-A, Status in Sabbat, Status in Changeling, Reputation in Mage. The whole status in-game out-of-game is a conceptual sticking point to some ST' Try and encourage it's prominance in the society through in game actions. Rep in mage would be nice... I don't understand that at all! Although it appears that Reputation in Mage is going to differ wildly from place to place, or even be discarded in some places. ...'s I've talked to. Which in turn hinges on the basis for the society... The reason Rep in Mage is so poorly understood and not widely used is that it was an afterthought with no real connectipon to the venue. The mechanics are not complete. * busybody-ooc notes lack of reputation caps, etc. Umbra - realms. Diablerie. Nor is Rep in any way beneficial to the Traditions. It's much more of a Techno thing to assign value based on Rank. very true I could see each tradition using it like clan status... but generic tradition status makes less sense. I could see each tradition using it like clan status... but generic tradition status makes less sense. Anyway, we're getting bogged down in details, which wasn't my point. We need cohesion, a commonality of vision on these very critical venue points, if we want to build a game world greater than the Chapter or Domain level. agreed. * Jimi_OOC wishes our local venue leads were here Well, for matters of societal stereotype we need the structure to be in place for enforcement in game For instance, in Cam/Anarch I see little fear of the elders if the PC's do not obey their societal system YES! Without a common understanding of things like Status and Elysium, these things rapidly lose any integral meaning. Neonate - Ancilla - Elder My Independent has been invited to PRIMOGEN MEETINGS! * busybody-ooc pulls stake thrower and aims at silly primogen Without Status, true Cam loyalists shouldn't even be TALKING to him... Talking yes. Listening? No. Exactly what I mean, because the PC's see no reason to obey the stereotypical system. We all know OOC it makes no sense but in game there are no repercussions That's unfortunate, but how do you 'enforce' this rule? we need a carrot... and we need a stick. And yet, because I play a canny character with a certain amount of knowledge and influence, and because Status is so poorly enforced, he acts as if he were the equal of any Cammie. Valid from his POV, sure; but it shouldn't be valid from theirs, and right now it certainly is. Honestly, I think there need to be more encouragement of stereotypical PC's appropriate to the venue. Enough metis huggers already :) The whole C-A status issue could take an entire day of meetings ::g:: Metis. Bottom line is, this is an organic game we play in, and the PCs have mutated it outside the original boundaries known as the conventional WoD. In general I feel the region needs a stronger upper eschelon of the venue's society And we as STs have done nothing on a larger scale to rein that in. Bone Gnawers (looks like I'm going down the whole Garou status thing.) Some domains play the status game, others it is pretty pointless. (but lip service is still given.) I think we come back to that "authority" issue. It would be useful to have a definitive source for Q&A. If an Archon came into Colorado Springs and saw the personal Domain that used to be Elysium, he'd have a cow. If he wandered into KC and saw an Independent at table with the Prince, he'd go ballistic. But the PCs have no reason to think theres any problem with these ideas, because we as STs haven't brought the WoD and its views back to the game. Cam/Anarch - Stronger Elder Enforcement & Archon Threat. Changeling - Active Court. Garou - Prideful elders, traditional spirits. Wraith - hierarchy threats Caitiff - we have seen some improvement there (but there have been specific plots.) Sabbat - good question.. still shaky there More NPC's and better guidance from the experienced players. how about the whole Anarch issue that is never addressed Well, I get tired of seeing every caitiff adopted or handed status Problem with Wraith - it is possible play a hierarchy group, a Renegade group and a Heretic group, so some of that gets a might confused. Though with the state of the venue, I would think Renegade to be most viable for a local game. Anarch. Autarkis. Label of the month to call yourself something other than Anarch. What do you get as a benefit to following the traditional system? Garou, Sabbat, Camarilla, Hierarchy... these are all traditionalist forces. Change should be smacked down, from a WoD perspective. Is there a way to encourage IC bias and stereotype in the venues without appearing as though you dictate the PC's responses? Gotta be a middle ground.. There some be some echos of a recent smackdown percolating around the C-A right about now... At least, I would think so. I mean if I'm supposed to disregard the Caitiff player there needs to be a compelling reason for the player to have his character respond in that way. Why on earth would a true Autark be at one of our games? Just my personal opinion... Not that I've seen... One local Caitiff even got a Blood Boon from a Prince, for using Influence in covering up a Masquerade breech. Now that's just plain silly. * busybody-ooc "Hi, I'm a hermit that doesn't want to see or deal with other vampires, yeah I'm Autarkis. Why am I hear with 40 or 50 other vampires?" Sorry - pet peeve. LOL, I'm with you there *** SandraP is now known as Bithiah_Khepera I agree Brian. Autarks have no more place at the game than the Inconnu. * L-Tornasuk agrees. Prince is either toppled or Caitiff quickly becomes Prince. well... seems to me it's the job of the Harpy to enforce the Biases and bigotry. You consort with Caitiff you get neg status. Only works on those that have Status. If the harpies could communicate (hint - nc-harpies@yahoogroups.com)... The problem occurs when PC's act out biases and traditional racism and get smacked down by politically (as in out of game) correct PC's in power Me too.... If the harpies could be backed up enough not be completely under the thumb of the local Prince... Now that's silly! These are not politically correct reformers. These are vampires. A caitiff prince? What prince would recognize him? Since it's a sign of Gehenna, many Elders would be after the Caitiff Prince instantly. I agree our PC's should not be politically correct, and yet you see it time and time again. My elder gangrel got chewed out royally for insulting a caitiff My Gangrel doesn't get chewed out. Ever. They should be free to do and say whatever needs to be said, and we need to protect them ooc if necessary. Your gangrel is an independent. His elders would be the ones chewing him out. They're fine upstanding vampires, the lot... ::g:: The problem is that ST's provide the framework of the world, but I have always held they should not go out of their way to support any particular PC so as to avoid favoratism Witness the latest bit about adoption. On the lists, things get said. So why doesn't it happen at games? Lack of cohesion. Yeah, uhuh, right. Talon, and William, and Grey... Not supporting the PC... supporting the position by reminding everyone that they are supposed to say those things. The lists are a major continuity gap - there's no way with a Masq that they would work any way close to what we have them working like... ::finally gets to Jimi's post on the personal Domain/Elysium bit in CS.:: CORRECT. And yet, we have a better understanding of the problem issues because of the lists. The lists do provide some moderation of concepts, but slowly. * Neil_OOC laughs * busybody-ooc notes that he witnessed several very different rule interpet's at Spring Fling in SC region in Garou - much less society basis. Sorry about that, Dan... traditionally, like I'm talking about, Pauly was right and Nix was wrong. I think we should be able to get a definitive answer from the ST lists. We ARE the ST lists, folks! We need to establish commonality of vision. (Uhh, did I say that before?) The problem with some rules calls are that they are conditionally based. It will and should change depending on the circumstances. Such as potence use in combat .. heh. * L_DanPage_OOC nods not commonality. DEFINITIVE decisions. well, I was just going by what I read should be right IC from the books. You cannot get anything definite from the ST lists as they exist, which is actually one of their sources of strength (but also makes them difficult for people to understand.) Again, lack of knowledge as to what's "really true" about Cam stuff and positions, Elysiums and Domain. All that nonsense. * L_DanPage_OOC nods to Neil's point on Potence When we get to this point, we need to have someone who can say this is the "right way" * busybody-ooc picks up big stick and points to Cam-Anarch RA. But he's not an ST (intentionally.) So who backs him? ARST- Continuity and myself. I'd just like to see someone be able to come on and say in this instance this IS the right way to handle it. That's the way I planned it (after watching other setups fail/cause-other-problems for various reasons.) If you ask a question and everone chimes in... you get good discussion, but rarely resolution. The problem is, much of the debate is over in game societal traditions, not out of game rules The protocols, as cool as I think they are, basically come down to "This is how we usually do things, but might makes right" yeah unfortunatley Satus is ignored unless the holder has Pussiance and Fleetness Absolutely true. * Jimi_OOC stares of into space for a few minutes (BRB) I've seen status used (Omaha) without the W-A-T powers. But it seems to be local game driven. It's going to take some educating of players. ... and ST's ::g:: As an example... is there a definite way to handle "giving away" influences? Since it's on the lists right now. Nope, there is intentionally no way to do that. (and the discussion is demonstrating why.) So I do it my way and you do it yours? Taking a closer look at status, our supplement gives much latitude to the local ST regarding influences setup and variation. I've had any such variation put in the VSS's (and noted so.) So far, haven't noted any variations. Well, you've also got to ask yourself if you want PC's to be able to give their influences at all. It can present some seriously cheesy xp loop holes * L_DanPage_OOC will be right back. My point exactly. Can't someone make up a primer for status? It's awfully complicated for new players. Which is why the whole thing was removed from our "additional inf actions." Influences - the more I think about it, here's another floundering piece. *** L_DanPage_OOC (ShortPasty@ACA46875.ipt.aol.com) Quit (Read error: Connection reset by peer) * busybody-ooc thinks Lists are great for debate and consensus. Decision making is best for the ST chain. Well, to be honest I think influences are more a rules discussion then philosophical sticking point. I don't disagree that influences are a fundamentally different point. However, I don't think that the problem is in the rules. I have been thinking that the "influence game" has never really taken off in many areas... why? So Brian, is there anything that can be done to strengthen the supposed iron clad grip the societal founders have upon their venues in the region? People want to grow all the time, and honestly I do not see enough feedback when they are used for plotlines... @Neil : Depends on the ST's, but I think it's because they can't get enough out of them why bother *** Shelley_ooc (Chasteen@dialup-209.245.6.239.Dial1.Denver1.Level3.net) has joined #nc-rst * Shelley_ooc waves hi Hello hiya! The status quo has some IC checks and balances (in most venues). The trick is identifying it and offering support. Harpies need to communicate among themselves and they need to be supported - maybe extremely. Maybe a plotline where... Hmm. * busybody-ooc waves at Shelley! * Shelley_ooc grins madly because she can see the wave sans glasses! Glad to hear that you've gotten better! I can see, tis a good thing So how do you make influences important to the PC's, reward them for uses other then growth I think... @neil... The mechanics are straightforward and simple, but pulling them into IC conversations etc... is the hard part. Well, sad to say, that whole Prince owing a caitiff a blood boon for influence use was key. coming in late but if the PC's can use their influences to accomplish things in game, that helps especially if the pc's are recognised or rewarded for their actions Perhaps, but the caitiff example was extreme .. and contradictory to other WoD canon So tell the Prince he made a huge mistake ooc. The influences need to be around and useful - I've had characters that have spent oodles of influence to do literally nothing and went back to simply growing 'em in hopes that they might be useful in the future. If it has been a Camarilla clan member who used their influence wisely, then he should have been rewarded with status, extra feeding grounds, etc... Feeding grounds... Hmm. Blood pool checks... Hmm. She ain't a Prince any more. That one, at least, had IC repercussions. Oh, wellgood :) Something for a VSS - maybe if you have enough feeding grounds, you get to auto-win feeding tests. *** Brute-Squad-ooc (vonscheiha@AC83F02B.ipt.aol.com) has joined #nc-rst yeah... that's another important area. hello all Now - I like the Pueblo idea. If you show up on time, you get a bonus on your blood pool test. On oodles of Influence, I remember spending 84 actions on a plotline, and getting told essentially that I didn't get any result. I gave up then. sounds good. We use the "get to game on time and autowin" Thank you. :) It is a good one (and deals with another issue - "CamTime".) * busybody-ooc notes that he has an insipirtaional articles about blood pool tests to put up on the website... So, encourage ST's to give results to influence use? (other then growth which has obvious rules benefits) Actually - maybe an article for purpose and theory of influences. How useful should influences be? What sort of things should you require players to do? what web site are you talking about busybody http://go.to/ncrst Yup, Influences. And as for the Growing vs. Giving issue, just Combine for Growth. Make 'em use their actions to do it and it isn't as cheesy. Well we should be dong that anyway, but I see certain times where using an influence should grow it too. * busybody-ooc waves to Shawn! sp doing. thanks The more influences are roleplayed the more useful they can become... but it can be a two edged sword. Example of two-edge-edness? As for Feeding tests, if my character is going to hang out with the most dangerous creatures he knows, he's topping off first. Fail the challenge, go home for the night - and take my site fee with me. When the player has defined his influences in such a way through rp that it loses some of it's utility. Wow, how cynical Jimi.. but I agree I have heard players say the same many times. Why would the PC's arrive before feeding well... One sided viewpoint. Herd is worth something. Definite theme of vampirism is blood drinking. Taking energy from the living as the vampire doesn't generate his own. Yeah, but it's the predominant viewpoint. At ICC, I saw 30 people leave the game for just that reason. And that was at ICC. At a local game, there's always something else we could be doing. Sometimes he gets a bit more out of his influences because of the way it's defined and sometimes he can't use it at all. As I said - I like Pueblo's take on it. Show up on time (pre-game time), and auto-win the test. Well, unfortunately I've seen that happen as well... but honestly if you do not reinforce that it nullifies the importance of the Toreador crafts advantage or the background: herd i would like here in kc Nope. Without Herd, when the pool is empty is done for the night, without a time-consuming feeding encounter. but i play with a herd on all of my cam characters The feeding encounter opens up to much role-play and personal horror. After all - who is ever going to forget the elk? here is something else tho.. I have been in the Cam over a year and had never seen nor been in a feeding scene. It never came up because I was from an auto-win city Heh. The elk. That was FUN. Hmmm, and I'm in an autowin city and we still run feeding scenes. i have seen it here in kc for a while ugh, animal feeding.. do we truly have any rules we can use for this? Exactly. Perhaps a few more volunteer narrators to run eeding scenes... Yeah... I see people using that option all the time. Ummm... Hmm. Perhaps the animal stats in one of the books inlcudes blood pools. None of them will have an *effective* blood pool exceeding that of a human. some of the feeding scene from NCRE6 led to plot threads over the weekend Running a feeding scene is *fun* - Jimi enjoyed the elk as did I running 'em. scenes are always better than tests for everything. Animals are generally far less satisfying than people, and their blood pools are positively tiny. Sure a cow has a lot more blood than a human; but it doesn't nourish. the blood isn't the same, it should require more to feel 'full' for a kindred I *LOVE* feeding encounters. I *HATE* Blood Pool tests. I think we've found another item: Feeding. exactly. Unfluence use as "I spend 5 actions and get this result" sucks... Well, in the Laws of Elysium book it gives traits of blood for some animals... *** Brute-Squad-ooc (vonscheiha@AC83F02B.ipt.aol.com) has left #nc-rst I call up my buddy in the police evidence room and say... can ya get me a gun? Let's see... cow = 8 traits... fun so you gotta drain a cow to get 8 traits of blood. yup I think the old V:TM players guide (2nd edit) had them as well I might give more or less depending on how thoroughly the poor bovine has been pummelled. Again, let's not get too wrapped up in mechanics on feeding. Bottom line is, animal blood will generally be borderline repulsive to anyone not used to it, like feral gangrel and such. Of course this is also under rather outdated rules It's survival rations. Y'know, I don't recall much if any glamour harvesting in Changeling. Hmm. And you have to kill a lot of rats to get the same meal you could have gotten from a mortal without even killing it. Anyone else? Six-pack-o-rats. *** Bithiah_Khepera (sandypa@p40n21.ruraltel.net) Quit (Ping timeout) LOL, cute.. ick? Sure, a six pack. Which in TT is (drumroll please) 1.5 blood traits. half traits of blood? Then there's six-pack-o'-cats, which is worth 3 blood traits. reminds me of a scene with my nos-anti.. beating off the other vamps from my rats... Fractions and LARP should avoid each other. LOL And quarter-traits. Takes a lot of animals to fill up, mate... In LARP, get enough together to make a full point, or it don't mean diddly. BTW, just as a general word to the wise, do not ever consider fractional morality traits. Ick. Speaking of Changeling, do we have a regional kingdom in place? what no .2 humanity *pout* Yes, the Kingdom of Grass. Yep - we have been vested with the tabletop Kingdom of Grass, retroactively fitted to our region's borders. Has a Queen and everything. Frankly I see the problem as being a situation where common sense takes a back seat to mechanics. Queen Mary Elizabeth. Sidhe. Dougal. Known to influence software companies and run a solid, quiet kingdom. Heh. So far... Well, not to sound too out of the loop, but I don't think the ST's in Colorado have any idea on borders of baronies or duchies. I know I don't... we were discussing it for a while but then silence after ncre6 I've got some notes from the Changeling RA before he moved to the west coast... The mechanic we're using might not work there, but basically we've divided up the Domain into Baronies along RL county lines. I think the Duke of the Rockies was recently assassinated. * busybody-ooc notes that KC has too many nobles, much less Barons... Interesting... we never knew him. :P I believe there is a NPC count coming into denver next month Changeling... ZZZzzz =) Well, that'll be interesting ST meeting last week Neil..::grins:: WRONG, Brian! KC does NOT have too many Nobles. It has too FEW commoners. Hey now, I am not a local ST anymore remember :P Hint: Please pass the word that I'm taking applications for RA-Changeling and RA-Wraith. Applications are closed for ARST-Admin. Will spread the word we have more than one wraith game?? *grins* Wraith's job will be more article-writing. "How to use Wraith retainers and scare your local Giovanni players silly" Wraiths appear in all venues. We need an RA for that, even if there are NO Wraith games. We'd have one... if the rules were still in print. ah...got it Paul, I can get you a book... Really? :) Cool. How much? I just found one more, but its getting harder to find the darn things You know, the went over that problem in the BOD last month. They are trying to get permission from WW to have it available to Cam members in pdf format let me check, I have feelers out at 3 more stores in the denver area BTW - the BoDSummary post mentioned that the Cam is talking with WW about the lack of MET:Oblivion books and has some suggestions... heck..let us copy the darn books at kinko's! Umm. Sorry, there's that whole copyright thing that would cause a few... Well, I think we have enough ideas for the Regional ST meeting now. I know.. although we found books for the chapters in montana..Belgrade says they are going to send a VSS up this month Cool! I'm more than happy to keep babbling... er, brainstorming away. Ah the rare and only recently coveted Oblivion MET book... now if only others woukd get better with age *scowls at his Laws of Elysium* * Shelley_ooc lol hehe BTW - WW is reprinting Shining Host (just a reprint. Though we're supposed to have a player's guide for changeling this fall...0 brb BTW Brian, can animal ghouls have non physical disciplines like Obfuscate? *** L-Tornasuk is now known as L-Tornasuk-afk Yeah, but it's still got all the rules flaws it always had, such as no listed trait maxes and no retest for Arts (except overbid)... Well, I'm all for finding ways to reward players who create and play stereotypical venue biased PC's Yeah, the Shining Host needs an overhaul Shining Host won't get an overhaul, but maybe they've patch something in with the player's guide. * busybody-ooc notes that Misty says "Hi!" *** L-Tornasuk-afk is now known as L-Tornasuk Hello :) hey Say, did anyone else get the chance to look at the new Epics MET book? I was very amused with it... Dark Epics is one way to decrease the size of Prime. (I love thinking of it that way.) Yes, I saw 5.1 flying before my eyes with slight alterations I thought it would be interesting to see if the Camarilla sanctions it.. No comment on Epics, save that it's money I choose to not spend. Animal ghouls can have non-physical disciplines but they are pretty rare. I need to put up that animal ghoul retainer document. Who here has a copy? I'm curious. Jimi - no. * busybody-ooc is busy getting the "Approvals at a Glance" that Tori wrote, up on the site first. Not yet, was debating purchasing it after looking through it, but I am undecided. It may sound bad, but it largely will depend on the Cam's take on the book Me too never heard of it so... nope What's the point if it's not sanctioned? I have only so much money...sigh It was heavily overseen - and partially written by - our former NST. Dark Epics was written (rules section) by the Cam. I will be shocked if it isn't sanctioned - but it will probalby be brought in with the clanbooks. Well, after seeing Jones' name on it, and the incredible similarities I figured it was based off of 5.1 If you look closely, it is more off of 5.0 - with some proto-5.1 stuff thrown in. Given WW's lead time on publishing stuff, that makes sense. Interesting, though I saw their xp chart was about a months time off of ours People may have to alter their max xp again if we choose to sanction that Well, it's been a good session, folks, but I have to go. Hope to see some of you in Hays this weekend! It contains about half (clearly not all) of the stuff I would put in a ST handbook, and includes most of the stuff talked about in Prime and scattering of stuff from the genre supplements. looking forward to it hunting down hotel rooms tomorrow see you this weekend :-0 See ya' in Hays this weekend! Later! *** Jimi_OOC (Jimi@PPPa93-ResaleKansasCityB4-2R7090.dialinx.net) Quit (Quit: ) :-) even * busybody-ooc chortles The XP chart won't be a problem - they simply gave two examples for differing situations. Ours is simply a third situation. ahhh... any luck with rooms yet? we're gonna need a couple too I think. if you need crash space I do have some available Very true, but if they intend to use this book as sanctioned material it's easier to use as much as possible. I have got a lead, will e-mail you info paul ahhh, even better. :) thanks appreciate the offer, but we have about 7 people coming from Denver Yeah - I'm afraid we've overwhelmed Hays with crash space demands. I have... 6 I think coming. but a couple are lookin' for crash space. Oops. Make that requests. One *never* demands crash space, one simply sees if it is available. * Shelley_ooc grins hence the hotel rooms. thats why the Denver folks are crashing as a group in a hotel...we appreciate the game enough Nothing I hate more then making a mortal PC right now in the cam... three books to go through, plus prime, and conflicting rules in many cases. I'd like to avoid that with Prime material if possible Sheesh - I'm still recovering from the convention this last weekend. Had fun running stuff. no kidding Neil...Jeff has been ripping his hair out with his mortal application Mortals needs an update *bad*. so what venue is the game anyway? Ask Jeff if he wants to write-up a guide on how to approach the mortals rules... I will. With a large, heavy stick? He said Yes. He loves the mortals venue, but lack of interest in Denver for a game. CA Bear with me... I'm going to harp on the article/guide concept for a while. Why? Easy way of distributing knowledge and common base views. Ah geez, he is on a rant now. Jeff that is, about mortals The venue locally in Hays - as Gwen (waves at lucky CST) - is Cam-Anach. Well thankfully we have a new ARC publications to help out with all these submissions Nah - just stick on website ::g:: Published indefinitely... ::g:: *laughs* Why not do both then? BTW - relay to Jeff - guide might focus on using mortals rules in other venues first. Then mortals venues as a second article or something... Sure, both! I agree... we should have basic guidelines and examples in easy to find locations for ST's and layers. BTW - I ought to point the ART-Pub at my website to contact the authors of the various articles there... insert players or lawyers... your choice. k I know Neil and Shelley have perused it... Paul and Gwen, have you been through http://go.to/ncrst I have a off the wall question. What are the rules of changing or making a new Morality Path? nope ewww nope ewww what? New morality paths in larp... Sounds like new mechanics... see Prime on new mechanics. Top in other words. There's a possibility if based on tabletop stuff. Seriously, if you haven't browed through http://go.to/ncrst please do so. If for only the policy section... the article section has some gems. The VSS's are all posted there ::g:: okay will do when I have time There are a ton of tabletop Paths that we have not converted. Under 5.0, I could approve 'em, and did with a couple. What sort of morality path are you thinking of? I think that the Path of Lilith needs and overhaul frankly. * busybody-ooc ::chortles:: LOL it is just a personal pet peeve I don't like the way it is written YES!!!! deja vu... EWWW... just thought of one more subject (can of worms) Lores! your telling me? Try playing it out IC'ly. It so in opposition of the beliefs of the Bahari sorry...personal gripe * Shelley_ooc wipes the rabid foam from her face and backs away * L-Tornasuk agrees with shelley. * busybody-ooc At the mention of Lores, Brian pulls out his anti-lore gun and... Paul, this is beyond worms...that is tactical nuke level stuff You know, I have always read the Path of Lillith in the guide to the sabbat, as a path of Lillith which has been altered by exposure the Sabbat dogma... thus not quite like the Bahari no kidding. Lore-Knowledge is a crux concept. Too often they are traded like baseball cards. Vision? Lores should be paid for with xp - no free. However, I can't make that change. However, any lores that I approve (x5, etc.) I am thinking of making them non-free. Why not free? It's that focus thing... Which gets us back to what is valuable to players? If the only thing is the character's continued existance, then that is what will occur - PC's will die. Now, if status is truly important, then status will get stripped and so on. d'oh! Guess I better expect to pay for lores soon then when I send them up :) 1xp for Blah Lore x5 isn't that bad ::g:: Well, you have to tie the two concepts together.. make status matter to the PC's welfare Just giving you crap Brian, after everything I have seen I tend to agree BTW as a suggestion in the area of disseminating our vision to players we publish a biweekly newsletter and have added a "for the cheese monkeys section" I expect to get some small amount of crap for the idea. *laughs* The subjective nature of cheese could make this difficult not to insult anyone though Where we clarify the ST's position on leagl but cheesy stuff so we don't see it. Well yeah, are you going to make it retroactive for PC's with those lores already approved at 5+? Dave Blackwell attempted the ST newsletter idea (one issue sort of went out there - I'd love to dig up a copy if anyone knows of one.) Might just do it. Could make it retroactive - let me think about it... Hmm. Who would that include? Paul, I have seen so many different ST's make different calls on whether something was cheese or not I don't think you could officialize it ... (don't forget Cathayan/White Howler lore in the meantime.) I can within my venue at least. This is how I tell my players what is acceptable and what isn't. *cringe* We need to allow for differing visions, while still maintaining a closer commanality to a base. How the heck did White Howler lore get out? If we talk about it as a group we can get together and make group decisions on what is and is not cheese. What we want to see and what we don't. then deliver it to players in small bite size pieces. Long story - remanants of a national plotline - though in my opinion it shouldn't have given much lore and it didn't... I have seen some st's who think a PC whose only odd issue is being around since reset is inherently cheesy, and others who have no problem with Umbralscopes .... a lot of variance to try and come to a common decision If one city wants to play very social - cool. If one city wants to play very phsyical, cool. Players need to understand that the travel implications. * Shelley_ooc twitches at the umbralscope comment PC's around since reset I think are fine - now that we have 5.1. I could draw parallels to the umbra-scope, but that might get... icky. *laughs* yeah true... but it is needed. If we tackle one issue at a time and make an actual decision... older PC's can be frustrating for ST's in younger chapters. Some st's feel they don't have NPC's or plots that are on par with those pre-reset PC's and publish it for the players to see then we'll be making prgress towards that common vision. * L-Tornasuk nods. Could be tough, but I see merit in trying to at least disseminate ST opinions as a whole on a topic Hmm. 12 PC's with Lore x5 and 6 with x1 with something rather rare. hmmm... my problem would be with players who aren't willing to take some guidance from the ST's If an older PC visits a younger chapter, the CST there should feel free to state "You would overwhelm this plotline. Find some way to stay out of it." Besides most such players should be self-generating on entertainment - I know I am... pre reset or not. If they are the significant player in the venue by virtue of MC or age then they should be willing to work with the ST staff. Not too bad. BTW can a person set up a proxy to learn a lore over mIRC? I kinda thought not, but... I agree, they should work with the ST staff, but nothing frustrates a player more when he is told all of his hard work means he cannot participate anymore :) Same thing applies to any elder vs neonate plotline in any venue. "But it would be against my character's roleplaying!". The point here is storytelling so everybody enjoys. Find some story reason for your character to not get involved and solve it for the local players. Proxy to learn things, fine (if the ST approves.) IRC is not really any place to proxy (but might end up representing the proxy...) Heck, I just try and recruit hordes of neonates and ancillae to work for me.. heh.. then I do not have to endanger my PC :P Reminds me of a statement someone told me "But your character never seems to do anything. Why do all those people fear it?" Thank you. That's how I feel about it... I do get tired of people saying "it's in character" as an excuse Yes, though at the same time.. if an plotline does bring up something integral to the PC it will provoke some manner of action. Elders and Ancillae should be more interested in regional and national level politics. The storyteller and the older players more than should be able to work cooperatively together. That's the way it works best. I fear characters that do nothing for the same reason I fear "sane" Malks! Our Ancilla game is lacking... I've bene trying to think of a carrot to toss in the mix. I'm tired of "I respect him, so he can't be a neonate and must be an elder!" Ancilla focus? City - maybe some regional and some national. Elder focus? Some city, regional and some national. Some arena are like the deep end of the swimming pool - there are times to stay out of the pool ::g:: unfortunately Paul, many ancilla begin to get into regional politics by first gaining control over local situations true also... I think a good measure of ooc communication is integral to a good game. The whole plotkit - regional list thing hasn't worked so far - with the incentive of some regional prestige. Any thoughts? * busybody-ooc notes that he's starting to ramble... *** L-Tornasuk is now known as Tornasuk some chapters are using the regional plotkits with great success Paul - I may have missed some of your earlier questions. Feel free to email 'em to me and/or others... or bring 'em up again. Well, I am starting to sound like some weaver construct, but I really feel for a true regional feel you must have a well established society. Right now, we feel like city states cut off from one another save the occassional visitor. I think most ST's don't know they are there, or are perhaps concerned about how linear the plot will be becuase it is regional Maybe we need a non-linear regional plot. Though I didn't think that COTS was that linear. (Loved how it played up to the Politically Correct thinking of PC's.) Some cities are definitely working great with the plotkits... but are they getting word out about the effects on the various lists? Ic'ly that is.. thats a good point, most are not k Not usually, for instance... when Percy paid a visit to Denver and Colorado Springs the nc-cam_anarch list was still pretty dry from this end... COTS? You would think a common infernal enemy would generate some yakking there was a great deal of private messaging going on, but little public demons became a dime a dozen, there was little interest towards the end unfortunatly Perhaps it would help to construct regional plotlines, where it is necessary to speak with other cities to gather the proper info for conclusion *laughs* Yes, we should avoid demons like the plague for a long while you just have to keep the players motivated to 'want' to find an answer I think some players tend to hoard storylines... This is going to sound bad, but often times the only true motivator is PC death. Paul, they do sometimes yes... @ neilI like that idea... yes, but dont' forget the '3 month memory' I like that idea, Neil. if it drags too long, players lose interest *grins* I never do.. I base most of my PC's actions on that theory * Shelley_ooc laughs some of us count on that memory loss but it must be taken into consideration when making large scale plot lines Imagine my surprise when I got confronted about something I did IC in 98 a couple weeks ago! :) if players are not reminded of it, or affected personally by it, it loses momentum Very true.. wow... that's a long time. yeah... all our Nos simply ran outta town when the underdwellers showed up. trust me Paul, things you do IC long ago, will come back to haunt you at times. * Neil_OOC grins now that plot is languishing the dark ones? ::shudders:: Well, Paul to be honest that's because I offered haven to them IC up north. *grins* We are planning on scoping them out and seeing what they do without interference for a while I hate to bring this up... but in D&D and other games there are rewards for following up... I come down for one game, and take 6 agg from that darn plot...again! * busybody-ooc wakes up like money, treasures you can't get any other way, influences, etc if players follow up, reward them with ST attention... yup... them they've completely taken over the warrens. and no one cares. ahhh. should mention it to the ST's here so we can act on it. Paul, would it bother you if I told you my PC was counting on that apathy from the local kindred? or did you? COTS - Children of the Street - a Cam-Anarch plotkit ran by Tori (ARST-Continuity). Started running under previous RST. I don't recall if it's conlcuded or not... You know, I don't recall hearing about the COTS plotline.. nope... but it would help if I knew we should be considering what the dark ones are planning to do once they consolidate. It's something that Tori ran at NCRE4 and NCRE5. Made quite a stir at NCRE5. At least the ventrue buzzed about it. since I don't recall seeing any guidelines in the plot kit. I remember it I assigned that one out to a ast so I'm not on top of it. *nods* There were all kinds of odd incidents that game.. interesting * busybody-ooc was busy reading up on ICC venue choices this year. Hmm. * busybody-ooc notes that "ICC just needs to be longer than it is." LOL * Tornasuk wasn't even in the cam for NCRE5 so has no idea what you are talking about. don't they always? The visible porition of COTS is some recruiters for raising money - they are someone's ghouls that are going out and recruiting backing from local PC's to help build children's shelters - to get them off the streets. Though it didn't beat NCRE2 for sheer wacky plotline implementation How fun... I still have a property card that Rawlins got from NCRE2 - a photograph of the summoning circle ::g:: how odd the ventrue in C-springs are doing the same thing to repay the help of a caitiff who was a street kid Maybe COTS will take advantage of the situation. Hmm. *laughs* You know there is still a parchment with some of the sorcery used floating around somewhere... I remember helping impersonate my own PC at NCRE1... Agh, Ventrue and their Caitiff there :P ... that was loads of fun ::g:: say... one more subject for discussion. Cross Venue stuff, and what constitutes a cross venue act. I think I'm rambling... Cross venue alone is a huge thing. What is a huge clue is that none of these are new things - they're all things which we've all seen before. ::twitches:: cross venue... Generally, anything which would bring venue specific paradigms or rules into conjunction I classify as cross venue One thing to talk about in a cross-venue article would be that any meeting of character homed in different venues is cross-venue. Hey, at least we don't have mixed venue games anymore with garou chillin at the local Elysium well... gotta go. It's past my bedtime. * busybody-ooc waves "See ya!" Good Night Paul bye paul :) bye Paul, see you tomorrow @neil & @shelly I hope I see you guys at game tomorrow. yep! yuppers half crazed Tzimisce, wouldn't miss it for the world *blink, blink* what?? *shrug* which is why it's on my list of important things to settle. lol, alrighty then So anyhow... yeah... but it's hard to tell the local Bishop he can't mount a crusade against the PC Cam Prince. simply because it's cross venue. I got sucked back in... going soon, *** Paul_Adams_CST_Co12 (mikhailchr@c1658749-a.pueblo1.co.home.com) has left #nc-rst * Tornasuk yawns. * busybody-ooc notes that they will be using expendable resource cards/tickets/whatnot at NEGLECt. So on that topic of Sabbat/Cam-Anarch.. any suggestions on keeping the Sabbat busy and outside of the cam chronicle? * Tornasuk wishes she could play Sabbat. That is a hard one and one that I'll gladly throw my RA Sabbat in front of to take the shot... *chuckles* You should have seen the dogmatic speech I just send out to our local sabbat to keep them busy in Greeley and away from the cam in Denver IC of course... heh ... Seriously, there is more to Sabbat than crusades. The crusade is a story that we will rarely able to tell. The Camarilla assault on a Sabbat city (see the just published Midngith Siege sourcebook) is not going to be much fun for Sabbat players... ... but could be ran. Though I would want the ST to have perused thorugh Midnight Siege first - it has a ton of ideas for running such in tabletop. * Neil_OOC notes he'll have to read this book To sum up: Instead of the Sabbat crusading to an PC Cam Game, have a NPC Cam group assault the Sabbat. * Shelley_ooc nods Let's use Greeley as an example (which is more than 30 miles out from Denver... Boulder looks like a close suburb compared to Greely... anyways...) ... sorry ... give them something to focus on Not to be the devils advocate, but when you do have the rare cross venue PC doesn't this cause unusual chronicle glitches? ... Some archon could get together a few NPC camarilla teams (get with me for the archon approval) and have them assualt them. Probably a consquences result of somebody slipping up and word getting out that there's Sabbat in Greeley.) * Neil_OOC nods Lord knows we should have gotten someone's attention by now :) I've seen Garou cross over to Cam-Anarch (glasswalker played smart.) Went well. Of course, some idiot Tremere claivoyanced and Soul Scanned him, but was discrete ::g:: ya think? the investigation into the warrens alone should have done something * Shelley_ooc thinks back on another idiot tremere and sabbat bishop * Shelley_ooc smiles sweetly *laughs* Yeah, I seem to recall a similar reaction to my Tremere's actions... *** _Nix_1 (ShortPasty@AC8C0209.ipt.aol.com) has joined #nc-rst * busybody-ooc waves at Dan welcome back Dan <_Nix_1> tankoo, tankoo hey dan * busybody-ooc mutters cross-venue discussion... hi dan hehe, sorry well at least Mage isn't able to cross yet... that is gonna be ugly! <_Nix_1> lol <_Nix_1> hi hi Oh man.. they need to really clamp tight on that *pictures Order of Hermes and Tremere getting chummy* no mage cross!!! No Mage Cross until ICC period. lol <_Nix_1> lol <_Nix_1> heh <_Nix_1> Mage cross BAD Another concept to discuss: ST purview. Where you can and can't mess with stuff politiely. For example, running scenes in other cities... Sounds like common sense, one would think. *chuckles* How about NPC guidelines? I don't mean ruleswise, but when and how to place them in a good plotline. thats one we really need to cover Sounds like I have a couple of volunteers ::g:: Sigh. overuse of antagonists...like BSD's, hunters.. eeks BSD's in Cam-anarch. Bane spirits in Sabbat. *grins* I have a feeling I'm going to do a lot of writing soon Even if it is disorganized, poor grammer, etc., it is a lot better than nothing (and I'll bet I can scare up a few english students... ) I haven't seen BSD's in Cam venue for a long time actually... not that I can think of... you too? uhm...Pueblo 2 months ago? I bet I can even scare up an English teacher... ::g:: Wait, nevermind... I lied.. Pueblo the elder with earned xp? <_Nix_1> hmmmm Umm. Elder BSD is a MC 12 NPC... I know, its no longer in play *grins* Finally getting to use those english courses for my gaming life.. I'm not sure if I should feel happy about that or not :) * Shelley_ooc grins is the queen of desanctioning lately... <_Nix_1> heh Yeah, I remember watching it rip up the gangrel, was kind of amusing from an IC and player perspective fine Neil, I will write you fix it so it looks...intelligent <_Nix_1> I can do that too. * _Nix_1 grins to Shelley Sigh - looks like it's going to be thunderstormings here tomorrow, which means I need to get up early and take the Misty to work... So I'm going to call it night. how quickly the victims come to the slau...I mean people volunteer!
