SADIES STORY - A work in progress
This is Sadie. Sadie is an Umbrella Cockatoo. Sadie came to live here with us and in time we realized she needed more time and attention than we could give her.
Sadie was placed in a foster home in Missouri. We were sent pictures and updates on Sadie and believed we had done the best thing for her.
One day we received word that Sadie had been "rescued" by Animal Control in Missouri. We would like to thank the two people involved with taking care of these birds while arrangements were being made to bring them home. TydiBird Avian Rescue in Missouri was a tremendous help with the rehoming of these birds. Sadie, along with 7 other birds were released to me.
Sadie is now living with a family that loves her very much. She is close enough that I can visit and I know that she is loved and well taken care of.
Sadie is slowly overcoming some of the fears and bad habits that she acquired.
We will never hesitate to remove or have removed one of our companion birds if found to be in an environment that is not in their best interest..
