#As
it turned out the bottom wishbones had to
come off again. Disconnect the top ball
joint, remove the shock mounting plate
bolts, loosen off the wishbone bolts and
off comes the whole kit.

When the wishbones
and trunion assy' is off, grind
the head off the through bolt.
A little heat will
melt the plastic bushes in the
wishbones and -
The wishbones
virtually fall apart
I think a little
care should be exercised here as
heat can change the properties of
metals.
A lot is not
required - I did not use a lot.

The new trunion was
nearly too tight, I was
surprised.
Scimitar law
dictates it should be 'new
vertical link' time.

This top ball joint
was still solid but the rubber
had seen better days.
I had one that I
took from a Se5 in the
dismantlers that was virtually
brand new - so that went in.

|
It all went
together on the bench, then I
thought a little - took it apart
again and put it together right
this time.
|
|
|
|
I tightened it to
it's 60 lb-foot and it worked, a little
tight but smooth so I greased it and
greased the other one, and the top joints
and job done.
