This will be my third year at A.T. Allen and I am so excited to be here with you! I really enjoy teaching First grade and I'm looking forward to a great year.
I have lived in North Carolina for several years. I grew up in Charlotte and moved to Ohio when I was 12. After college I moved back to this area to teach. I have not missed the Ohio weather! (In Ohio we joke that the four seasons are Winter, Winter, Summer and Winter!)
In my spare time I enjoy writing, reading, piano and playing soccer on a women's league in Charlotte. I really love to travel and enjoy the outdoors. I can often be found hiking with my dog Sydney in the woods or sitting beside the creek writing stories.
This year I hope you will learn to love reading, writing and nature as much as I do!
