*Information for Parents*

Thank you for all of your help, support,  and cooperation throughout the school year!  You are a key factor in the success of your child.  Here are a few reminders and notes about our class:

Students should bring pencils, paper, homework, AR books, and signed reading logs with them to school each day.  Please help your child to be organized and have these materials at school.

Your child should be reading at home each night for at least 20 minutes.  Also, please sign your child's reading log every night.  Your child's success in our reading program depends on reading at home, as well as in school.  As with anything else, the more a child practices reading, the more progress he/she will make!

Homework skills provide independent practice of skills taught in class or enrichment of content covered in class.  Please assist your child in setting up a homework center and determining a regular homework schedule.  Be a homework coach and offer guidance as needed in the prompt completion of assignments.  (I give my students time and encourage them to copy their homework assignments from the board each day.)

Please send a note whenever your child will be picked up from school in something other than the usual manner.  This is for your child's safety and protection!  Also, please send a note whenever your child has been absent from school.

If you have questions or concerns, please write a note or call.  We will schedule conferences as needed.  Thank you again for all that you do to make your child's education successful!
