| Mrs. Braxton was born and raised in Greenville, NC. She attended East Carolina University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in December of 2000. Her first teaching job was at Roberson Elementary School which is located in Tarboro, NC. She taught third grade and then had a chance to move to first grade. In October of 2001, Mrs. Braxton had her daughter Logan. She had an opportunity to move to Chocowinity Primary and has been teaching first grade there since February of 2001. In July of 2004, Mrs. Braxton became the grade level chairperson for the first grade team. She was honored with Chocowinity Primary's Teacher of the Year for 2004-2005. She has been a Thinking Maps trainer for the staff of CPS and a North Carolina Reading First trainer. She is a member of the North Carolina Association of Educators and Who's Who Among America's Teachers. In November of 2007, Mrs. Braxton became a National Board Certified Teacher. She loves animals and has lots of pets! She lives in Greenville with her husband, Chris, and her daughter, Logan. |
