Upon high school graduation, Mrs. King worked a variety of jobs to earn money to attend college. In 1998, she began her freshman year studying Sports Medicine at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She married Warren King, North Carolina native, in June 1999. In May 2002, she graduated with a B.A. in Exercise and Sports Science--Athletic Training. She successfully completed all the requirements and passed the NATABOC test to become a Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) in June, 2002.
Mrs. King is the ATC-L for Heide Trask Senior High School and teaches Strength and Conditioning. She is currently licensed to practice athletic training by North Carolina.
