What was your child able to do after three years, or 10,950 waking hours, of exposure to English?  Given three years of 30-minute classes, four times a week, or a total of 72 hours of classtime exposure to Spanish, they should be able to able to show comprehension of simple Spanish as they respond to commands.  The more adventuresome will have started to produce a few words and the truly bold will start to put words together to almost form sentences.  Watch a three year old speaking sometime!  Most importantly, these children will have established a working approach to using a new language and a postive attitude toward people of a new culture that is becoming a strong presence in our community.
