Students need to read each night at least 20 minutes.
Parents/guardians can ask their children questions about the book or chapter they have read. This helps the children be prepared to take the tests.
Parents, please initial your child's reading log each night that he/she reads at home. You can also write notes to me in the comment section.
Students will also read their self selected AR books at school. I will visit with each child each day to see what he/she is reading and how he/she is doing. I will place my initials in the log, also.
The AR log is to be kept up-to-date. Each time a child reads, he/she should write the date and what he/she is reading. If a child reads three times in one day, for example, that date will be written three times. Students can use arrows if they are continuing in the same book.
