We welcome our 21 students to Mrs. MaryAnn Hayes's third grade class. We have been very busy since school started. EOG Pretests are over and we have also done STAR test for AR. We have begun reading to reach our fundraiser kick-off on September 19, 2006. We're counting on your help to make it successful. It will end on October 10. Our class has participated in two projects for extra credit in science. One was on "Frogs" and the other was "Hurricanes." Math Stars go home weekly. Try to get lots of stars! Earn that $5 for having the most stars. On October 2, we will have Parent/Teacher conferences from 4:00-7:00. Please try to attend.
There will be an early release day on October 10. Book Fair will begin on October 9 through October 13. We will go on our Field Trip to Turnbull Creek on October 13. Please remember to bring bag lunches if you signed up for that. Wear comfortable shoes.
Parents, thanks for helping see that your child does their homework by signing the daily forms. Thanks for also signing and returning test forms weekly and sending back folders.
We are looking forward to our Fall Festival on October 26. Thanks to all who are volunteering to send candy, making cakes, and volunteering your time.
