Mrs. Whittington was chosen CPS Teacher of the Year for the 1999-2000 school year. Mrs. Whittington�s class has received Reading Renaissance Model Classroom certification seven consecutive years. In the fall of 2002, Mrs. Whittington became a National Board Certified Teacher. This is very prestigious, representing the highest professional credential in the field of teaching .
Mrs. Whittington lives in Chocowinity with her husband, Larry, and daughter, Laura. She enjoys spending time with Laura and Larry, scrapbooking, reading, and going to the beach in her free time. Mrs. Whittington also enjoys spending time with her fellow third grade teachers and best friends, Mrs. Dixon, Mrs. Fisher, and Ms. Moore.
