Some thoughts on Reading
Successful early readers have three things in common.....
     1. An adult reads to the child on a regular basis.
     2. Favorite books were read over and over again until the child
           began to read along.
     3. As favorite books were shared again and again, the child began
           to develop independent reading skills.
Why and how to read aloud?
It's fun and enjoyable for everyone...helps create a special bond.
Find a comfortable, quiet location. Make it a special time together.
Change the pace and volume of your voice to fit the story.....slow or fast, soft or loud.
Let your child have fun with the book...repeat phrases, fill in character responses, respond to feelings.
Read, read, read! Anytime, any place.
