I Syllabus Jeannie Jandrew This
is an E-O-C class Students
in English I explore the ways that audience, purpose, and context shape oral
communication, written communication, and media and technology. While emphasis is placed on communicating
for purposes of personal expression, students also engage in meaningful
communication for expressive, expository, argumentative, and literary purposes.
We will follow the competency goals for English I as stated in the NC Standard
Course of Study. (We will Express, Explain, Examine, Create, Demonstrate, and
Apply) Grading: Tests/Papers=50% Quizzes= 25% Homework/Class work= 25% Students
