Dear Parents/Guardians,

 

As most of your children have already told you, we have a class website we are using to keep in contact with one another. On the web page you will see current assignments, overviews of what we are covering in each subject, and other general information.

For the parents this site will be especially helpful in knowing what’s going on in our class and keeping up to date with information that your children may have forgotten to tell you. I will do my best to keep it updated with information that may be relevant to you. For example, in the next couple of days I will be linking our literature packet to the website so you can look at it at home. The packet will be the same thing that the students have in their literature folder, but this way you know where to find it and can help guide and pace your child as we continue our studies.

On the website you will also notice a couple photo galleries. I thought it would be nice if the students (and you) could view each other working their hardest at school.  My hope is to put pictures of students studying, writing, reading, playing, and all those other things that parents may not get to see while we’re in school. I will probably put captions on some of the photos, but will never put more than a first name of who is in the picture. If you give permission for your child’s picture and name (again only first name) to be put on the website, please sign and return this paper to school.

You can access the website by going to www.geocities.com/nck12jessie04 or soon it will also be available by clicking on my name on the Glade Creek Staff web page.  Also on this site you will see my contact information via email if you’re ever at work and in a crunch to get a hold of me. Otherwise, you know you’re always welcome to call or come see me at school.
