Materials: Three ring binder, college ruled loose leaf paper (50 sheets), number 2 pencil, ink pen (black or blue ink), small planner or calendar. 

Course Description: Health emphasizes the importance of understanding the physical, mental/emotional, and social elements of well-being, as well as, the responsibility of each person in maintaining and promoting good health and safety individually and as a group, and the desirable relationships with others. 

In physical education, emphasis is placed on developing good sportsmanship, leadership, skill, and achieving personal satisfaction through carryover of lifetime sports, physical fitness, and team sports. 

Expectations and Classroom Rules:
1. Be on time, ready, and prepared to begin class when the tardy bell sounds.
2. Be respectful to other members of the class including the instructor.
3. Avoid any behavior that may disrupt class.
4. Display a positive attitude and an open mind for learning.
5. Adhere to all CCS/CCHS policies outlined in the student handbook.

Classroom Procedures:
1. Begin working on �bellringer� upon arrival to class
2. Use the sign in/out sheet when leaving the room and arriving back in the room
3. Notify the teacher of any illness if you need medical attention.
4. Limit phone use to before and after school, or during your lunch.  In situations of injury/illness, inclement weather, change of after school activity it may be necessary to use the control room phone.



Make up Work:
1. Any assignment missed during an absence may be made up within five school days.
2. Any assignment due on the day of an absence is due the first day back to class from the absence.
3. Most make up assignments can be kept up with in your syllabus.  Always refer to it first then check the make up work folder.
