Country Profiles

In order to understand the positions of the country to which you have been assigned it is important to know some basic facts about your country. At MUNEG we expect you to complete a short country profile for the conference.

The profile should include:

Location: Where is your country on the map? Can your country offer any geographical assistance to resolutions, or monitoring of neighboring countries?

Economy: How wealthy is your country? Can you donate money to fund a mission?

Military: How large is your army? How often do they get involved in conflicts--either on their own or with with the United Nations? Do you have enough troops to donate to a resolution?

Unions: Is your country part of any union? (Ex: EU, Arab League) List other countries in your union. Union voting blocks and resolution sponsorships can be very effective.
