Here is a suggested timeline if you are college bound:
*Take the PSAT.
*Check with your counselor to ensure your courses for your junior year fit with your future plans.
*Begin your college exploration by listing your interests, abilities, and needs on a piece of paper.
Spring:
*Meet with your guidance counselor to discuss colleges and make a list of those schools you want to investigate further.
*Gather general information about colleges---compare the schools.
*Make visits to the schools.
*Take the SAT and have your scores forwarded to at least 3 schools.
*Plan your senior schedule-check college coursework admission requirements to be sure you are taking the appropriate courses.
Summer:
*Make visits to schools.
*Submit applications to your top colleges.
