Our Dogs
We have three beautiful dogs. We adopted Josie, a black and white border collie, from a pound in January of 2004.  She is a very sweet, loving dog.  When we adopted her we were told she had already been spayed.  Well one night in the fall of that year we heard a small cry on our front porch. Josie had just delivered the first of seven puppies!  We never even suspected she was pregnant because we had been told she was already spayed. Luckily we were able to find good homes for five of the seven. We kept Jenny (a long-haired white collie) and Rusty (a long-haired tan collie). They are both female, so we ended up having to spay three dogs! They are all very beautiful dogs with playful and loving personalities and they bring great joy to our family.

Rusty 2005
Jenny and Rusty love each other and always want to be together!
Sadly, a neighbor shot our sweet Jenny for being on his property in the spring
of 2006.  Her front leg had to be amputated because the injury was
so severe.  Jenny's personality still shines through.  She still smiles and wags her tail when she sees us.
Jenny, Josie and Rusty  January 2006
Hard to believe but Jenny's sister Rusty came to the same fate in February 2007.  Someone hunting coyotes and spot-lighting deer (which is against the law!)
near our house shot Rusty and we had to amputate the same leg Jenny had amputated!  There are certainly some heartless people in the world.

These two dogs are so inspiring.  They just keep on wagging their tails and playing as if nothing happened.  People can certainly learn alot from dogs.
