| 1974 | Smallpox outbreak in India killed ten to twenty thousand. Plus, the Soviet Union began a program which culminted in the development of refrigerated warheads capable of carrying bubonic plague or smallpox to various parts of the world. |
| May 18, 1974 | A subterranean explosion was registered in the desert region of Rajasthan. The Indian government said it was a peaceful atomic test, but it was Gary Seven destroying the reactor of Sarina Kaur's Chrysalis Project. |
| July 1974 | The U.S. National Academy of Sciences called for a moratorium on genetic engineering. |
| November 1, 1984 | Riots were widespread over the Indian subcontinent after the assassination of Indira Gandhi. |
| December 2, 1984 | Seven recruits Khan for his first mission as an apprentice for the Aegis. At the South Pole, they find an immortal looking to repair the hole in the ozone layer. The hole had not been made public knowledge, but the immortal's top-secret satellite had been launched, probably by the shuttle Discovery. This satellite became the prototype for Khan's Morning Star. |
| December 3, 1984 | A massive chemical leak in Bhopal killed many thousands while more than fifty thousand were permanently disabled. Seven saved Khan from being trampled to death in the chaos which immediately followed. |
| November 9, 1989 | The Berlin Wall was torn down, marking the end of the Cold War. However, the real behind-the-scenes war was only beginning as Khan and his superhuman siblings were getting into their twenties and exerting their own influences. |

| 1991 | The European Remote Sensing Satellite (ERS-1) launched as the first environmental satellite. ERS-2 launched three years later and was capable of charting the entire ozone layer every 72 hours. |
| October 1991 | Biosphere II project began. While it was not entirely successful, it did create a sealed, self-sustaining living environment which was used in the design of the DY-100 and DY-500 sleeper ships. |
| 1992 | Civil wars in Liberia, Peru, Afghanistan, Bosnia, Somalia, Sudan and elsewhere; race riots in Los Angeles (O.J. Simpson trial); food riots in Albania and ongoing chaos cannot be ruled out of being spurred by Khan and his supermen. |
| April 1992 | France suspends nuclear testing at the Centre d'Experimentation du Pacifique. Khan shortly takes over operation of the island. |
| Summer 1992 | Khan's Morning Star satellite causes a twenty percent increase in the hole in the ozone layer. It is publicly blamed on the eruption of Mount Pinatubo in the Philippines. |

| November 20, 1992 | A portion of Windsor Castle damaged by fire. An overheated spotlight was blamed. |
| September 30, 1993 | An earthquake hit the previously-considered aseismatic region of Maharashtra. Death tolls ranged from nine to thirty thousand. The quake was caused by an underwater concussive charge placed by Vasily Hunyadi, the superhuman force behind the Serbian government. |
| February 7, 1994 | A submarine battle occurs under the Meditteranean Sea between Khan and Hunyadi. Khan attacked by submarine because of the no-fly zone imposed by NATO. Hunyadi was tipped off by an informant working for Gary Seven. |
| May 6, 1994 | Queen Elizabeth II took the Eurotunnel (or "Chunnel") under the English Channel to meet with President Mitterand of France. This was the first use of this tunnel. |
| June 1994 | A flesh-eating bacteria scare dominated the tabloids in England. |
| August 16, 1994 | Roberta Lincoln, posing as militia activist Bobbie Landers, infiltrated the Army of Eternal Vigilance (AEV), run by General Hawkeye Morrison--a superhuman mixed with bird DNA for superior sight. |
| August 29, 1994 | Vasily Hunyadi appeared before the United Nations to declare that Serbia had nothing to apologize for. During his speech, members of the AEV released sarin gas into the council chambers, suffocating everyone inside. |
| November 11, 1994 | The Eurotunnel opened to the public. Gary Seven and Guinan stopped a sarin attack by General Morrison's AEV at both ends of the Chunnel. |
| September 5, 1995 | A ten-kiloton explosion occured at the old Centre d'Experimentation du Pacifique. Gary Seven provided the cover story that France had privately resumed nuclear testing in the area so that the destruction of Khan's biological warfare lab would not make international press. |
| January 10, 1996 | U.S. President Bill Clinton bombed Khan's "terrorist base" in Chandigarh as well as several other superhuman bases in Serbia, Afghanistan, Iraq (it's doubtful that Hussein is one) and Sudan. |
| January 11, 1996 | Roberta Lincoln steals the DY-100 sleeper ship from Area 51. She and Gary Seven present the ship to Khan to stop the eradication of the entire ozone layer. The ship was set to go to an uninhabited solar system about one hundred light-years from Earth. However, the ship ended up in the Mutara sector in 2265. |
