NCBRA ARTICLE
NCBRA is up and running, ready for great barrel racing events and fellowship for this coming 2002 year. We have restructured NCBRA to be able to include more people and to expand into more areas. We will no longer have Circuits. Each state or area will be split up into regions according to the membership. Your address will designate your region, but every NCBRA pointed event is open to all riders and members may receive points from every NCBRA event they enter, in any region.

Each region will have a Regional Director, who will appoint with the NCBRA Board at least one Event Outreach Ministry Team. This team will have a Captain and as many team members as needed to put on the NCBRA Events in each region. There may be more than one team per region.

Each region will have Regional Finals with yearend awards. Each horse and rider team will keep only their five highest pointed shows from all NCBRA events in which they have participated. They will also keep all participation points from each event they have entered. These points along with their five top shows will be totaled for their regional division standings. The entry fees will be the same as a regular  pointed event.
The Arizona Regional Finals will be held as a sixth show on Friday, October 18th for points to complete the yearend standings. The other Regional Finals will be announced soon with their dates and location.
We will have the NCBRA National Finals in October the 19thand 20th these will be held at the Yavapai County Fairground in Prescott Valley.AZ. You must ride in five NCBRA events to qualify for the National Finals. The National Finals will be run as an open barrel race clean slate run. There will be great awards for the Open and Juniors at both the regional level and the National Finals.

There will be three types of memberships for NCBRA. An Open rider for a $50.00 fee, the Junior rider 17 and under for a $30.00 fee, and the Beginner rider 10 and under for a $10.00 fee.
At each NCBRA event we will have the Open 4D poles and barrels with a $25.00 entry fee for members and there will be a extra $5.00 fee for nonmembers.

We will also have a Junior 4D poles and barrels. This will run separate from the open. The Junior entry fee will be $15.00 per event. A Junior rider may chose to run as an open rider for the year if they so desire. They will pay the open membership and receive their points as an open rider.

At each regional event we will have the apprentice class for the beginning rider 10 and under. These will have a lesser entry fee and will receive ribbons and trophies.

We are ready to meet with everyone who would like to help and who would like to learn how to be on the EOM Teams. We need Captains and team members.
