| The following document was retyped from an original given to me by my brother, James Robert Adler sometime in 1999. I do not know the origin, but the contents are similar to other documents I have come across. For instance I do have military records for Charles Riffert that confirm that he was field promoted to first lieutenant of Company 'F' after Chattanooga. | I have tried to copy the records James gave me as they were. The 32nd Indiana Infantry Regiment (First German) saw serious action during the Civil War, including Shiloh, the siege of Chattanooga and the assault on Missionary Ridge. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| Problem: Rhineland ? Palatinate and Prussia are on opposite sides of Germany. Also, there is a six year age difference is the various records. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
