The dates here are gleaned from the IGI record, but at this point guess
work that feels good. Based off an E-Mail from [email protected]
which says Nick Adler was married to Margart Steckler, they were both
born in Darmstadt Germany, their Children were Katherina, John, Adam,
Theodor, Henry. She says she received this information from the Census
1880 Vanderburgh County. Several things jive here, the location in
Germany is very close, the fact that the Nicholas listed in IGI had a
mother named Katherina...same as his child, which is a common German
tradition...and the fact that this Nicholas and a listing for Margaret
Steckler both show the same birth place.St. Joseph's Cemetary, Evansville, Vanderburgh County, Indiana.
