The Rules for the Weekly Pick 10!

Here are the complete rules for the Weekly Pick 10. First let me break down how the weekly points will go and what the points exactly mean. Points will be awarded for the Top 5 finishers each week, except for the Bowl Contest at the end of the year, where there will be double points awarded. Points are accumulated all season long and at the end of the year the person with the most points is the 2003 NCAA Pick 10 Champion! As I said, the Top 5 in each week’s contest will earn points. 1st Place = 10 pts, 2nd = 8 pts, 3rd = 6 pts, 4th = 4 pts, 5th = 2 pts. There are no bonus points for perfect scores or finishing in the top 5 for consecutive weeks.  The person with most points at the end of the regular season will be regarded as the Weekly Pick 10 Champion.  Now here are the other basic rules for the 2003 Weekly Pick 10 Football Contest.

1). The weekly contest will consist of 10 games each week. The tiebreaker game will be the 10th game of the week. The tiebreaker game consists of 5 parts; in descending order:

A)    Picking the winner of the featured game

B)    Correctly predicting, or the closest too, the winners score

C)    Correctly predicting, or the closest too, the losers score

D)    Correctly predicting, or the closest too, the total score of the game

E)    Correctly predicting, or the closest too, the total offensive yards of both teams in the game

2). The games picked for each weeks contest are determined based on geographic fairness to fans across the country. Each weeks contest will include at least 1 team from each of the following conferences: ACC, Big East, Big Ten, Big XII, PAC-10 and the SEC.  The tiebreaker game will usually be the high profile game of the week.

3). Picks for each weeks contest are due in by 9 AM Eastern time on the Saturday of that weeks contest games unless there is notification on this site otherwise. Picks can be sent via the form that's on this site. Any games left blank will be marked incorrect. If the tiebreaker is left blank that person will automatically lose the tiebreaker.

4). If a game on a contest is postponed/cancelled or if that game for whatever reason was misprinted on the site so as to cause any confusion amongst the players, that game will not be included on that weeks contest and the contest will continue with the remaining games. If the preceding happens in the case of the tiebreaker game then any ties shall remain as such for that week.

5). Any entry received without a means of identifying who submitted it will be deemed ineligible to place in the top 5 for that week.
