"Have you seen Nick around," Brian asked his cousin, Kevin.
"No, he left somewhere about an hour ago. He hasn't come back, yet," Kevin told him.
"Oh," Brian said, then sat down on the couch.
     "What's wrong, Bri," Kevin asked.
"I feel like Nick is mad at me or something. I don't know why," Brian told him.
"I don't know, Bri. You have to talk to him. I've noticed that you and him have been tense around each other. You guys were never like that before," Kevin said, then walked away from his cousin.
Brian leaned his head back on the couch and sighed. He knew something was wrong with Nick, but he didn't know what it was. He had to talk to him as soon as he came back. Just then, Brian heard the door slam. He looked into the living room and saw Nick throwing his keys and jacket on the floor. When Nick saw Brian, he looked away and walked to the kitchen. Brian followed him.
"What are all of you doing here," Nick asked, looking at Brian.
"You said that we could all hang here today. You weren't here, so we let ourselves in," Brian told him.
"I changed my mind. I don't want you guys here today. I need to be alone," Nick said, grabbing a Pepsi out of the refrigerator.
"Nick, can I ask you something before I tell everyone to go," Brian asked him.
"I don't care," Nick said, without looking at him.
"Are you mad because I said that me and Aimee might be getting back together? I know that you feel something for her. I can see the way you look at her," Brian told him.
"You don't know how I feel, Brian. I'm happy that you two might be getting back together. I hope you guys are happy," Nick said, then walked up to his room and slammed the door.
Brian sighed and put his head into his hands. He, then, felt a hand touch his shoulder.
     "What's wrong," AJ asked him.
"It's nothing, AJ. Tell everyone that they have to leave. Nick needs to be alone," Brian said, then walked away.
AJ walked outside and told everyone to leave the house. When he was getting into his car, he saw another car drive up into the driveway. He saw that it was Aimee. He walked up to her and noticed that she had been crying.
"Do you know where Brian is? I know that he is here," Aimee told him.
"I think he's in the backyard, but I'm not sure because I don't see his car anywhere. You can check," AJ said.
"Thanks," Aimee said, then walked to the backyard.
She slowly walked into the backyard and saw Brian sitting on a lawn chair with his head in his hands. She watched him for a while, until he started to get up. He slowly rose from the chair and looked up. He saw Aimee, then looked down and walked up to her.
"How did you know I was here," Brian questioned her.
"I figured if you weren't at your house, then you would be here," Aimee said.
"Yeah, I'm leaving, though. Nick wants to be alone. I know that he is really mad at me. I know that he cares about you," Brian said, looking at the floor.
"I can tell that he cares about me. He was really upset, when he found out that I was thinking about getting back together with you. He stormed out of my apartment like 2 hours ago. But there is a reason that I am here. I want to make things better between you and Nick. I know that you guys are best friends, but these past 2 weeks, I feel like I am tearing you guys apart, and I don't want that," Aimee said sadly.
"Then, what are you going to do," Brian asked.
"Can you sit down first," Aimee asked.
Brian sat down slowly on the chair, and she sat next to him. She started to explain, and he was ready to listen.

3 Weeks Later

"Why isn't he answering his phone," Aimee yelled, then slammed down her phone.
"I don't know," Christa told her.
"He doesn't want to talk to me. You think that's why," Aimee asked her.
Christa shrugged and plopped down onto the couch. Aimee sat down next to her and sighed. Aimee leaned against Christa and closed her eyes.
"It's okay, Aimee. He will pick up his phone, eventually. You will see the guys soon," Christa told her.
"Why did they have to go to New York? They have been gone so long. I just need to talk to him and tell him things," Aimee said.
"I know. You will survive. You can wait a couple more days. Then, you can talk to him. Don't worry, Aimee," Christa told her with a laugh.
"I know. I just miss seeing him. I want to hear his voice," Aimee told her.
"You have it bad for him, girl. Well, I should get going. I will see you later today, for dinner," Christa said, then left the apartment.
Aimee closed the door behind her and laid back down on the couch. She closed her eyes and wished the days would pass by, so she could see him again.
