| Ashley felt so wonderful, when he kissed her. Their kiss deepened, and she realized that she hadn't kissed someone like this for a long time. He was such a great kisser, and he smelled so good. She didn't want to move from that position. Her heart raced as he ran his fingers through her hair and down the sides of her face. When they parted, Nick thought to himself about how much he didn't want that kiss to end. He stared into her eyes and felt as if he could see inside of her soul. A smile spread across her face, and she looked away from him, slightly embarressed. She was speechless by what had just happened. "I've waited for you my whole life," Nick said, breaking their silence. Her heart sank. She looked up at him, and a small smile spread across her face. She almost felt like she could cry. "No one has ever said that to me," she said, looking at him admiringly. Just then, they realized that everyone was walking back to the school. They got out of his truck and started walking back. As they were walking, instead of holding hands, they had their arms around each other's waist. Since she was so short, she came just under his armpit. She relaxed and laid her head on his chest as they walked. When they got to the school, they stayed outside, waiting for the bell to ring. "So does this mean we're going out," Nick asked cautiously. "Yeah, I guess it does," Ashley responded, smiling. After she said that, the bell rang, and they started to go inside. They held hands until they got to the crowded hallway. Then, she told him where to meet her, and they separated to go to their lockers. Ashley ran up to her friends to tell them what happened. "Hey guys! Oh my God! You'll never guess what," Ashley said excitedly. "What," they all asked, smiling. "Nick and I are going out! He even kissed me in the car... Oh my God, I can't believe it!" "Calm down, Ashley," Amber laughed. "I can't," Ashley replied, grinning. "That's great, Ash," Kendra said. "When are you guys going to go out," Lynze asked. "Tonight. But right now, I got to go meet him again, so I'll talk to you guys later," Ashley said, putting away her books and walking away. As she went up the stairs, she saw Nick facing away from her. She noticed what a cute butt he had. She smiled to herself, thinking that she was stupid for thinking something like that. She walked up behind him very quietly, so he wouldn't hear her. "BOO," she yelled, lightly hitting his back. He turned around with a huge smile on his face. "That didn't scare me," Nick said, laughing. "Yeah, well," Ashley said. "I'll get you next time!" "Yeah right... we'll just see about that." They laughed and walked out, so she could show him where his biology class was. She had to leave and go to her Advanced Math class, since she didn't have biology until 7th period. When she got to Mr. McKee's class, she saw Jenny and two of her other friends, Georgia and Paige. Georgia was a good friend of Ashley's. She had brown hair with light streaks going through it and hazel eyes. She had on black jeans and a dark blue shirt. Ashley had had a crush on Georgia's cousin a long time ago, but that ended after a while. Paige, also, was a good friend of Ashley's. She was a little different from most of the other girls, though. She was really into drawing, writing, swords, and Japanese anime. She had dark purple hair, that was naturally blond, and blue eyes. Paige was a great artist and very cool to hang out with. "Hey guys," Ashley said, as she sat behind Jenny and across from the others. They all responded with a "Hey." "So you're dating the new boy," Georgia wondered. "How did you know," Ashley asked. "I told her," Jenny said. "Big mouth." "Yeah, that's me," Jenny laughed. "You mean that blonde guy," Paige asked. "Yeah, his name is Nick," Ashley replied. "Cool," Georgia said. Then, they all became quiet, since class had started. Math was never that bad, since Mr. McKee was a really cool teacher. The only thing that really sucked was the homework. They had it everyday, unless it was a day before a test. Before they knew it, the bell rang, and they all walked out. Everyone else was going just across the hall for psychology class, but Ashley had to go back downstairs to get Nick. As she came towards the doors where they were going to meet, she didn't see Nick anywhere. All of a sudden, she heard a soft "Boo," and two strong arms went around her waist. She looked up and saw Nick looking down at her, smiling. "Obviously you're as bad at that game as I am," Ashley laughed. "Well, I just didn't want to scare you TOO bad," Nick joked. "Whatever," Ashley said, laughing. They, then went to their next class, which went by very quickly. Next period, they weren't in the same class. Ashley was in biology, and Nick was in Algebra 2. This class went by a lot slower for both of them, since they didn't like those subjects, and they weren't together. Finally, the bell rang, and they left to go meet each other again. They walked towards each other smiling and locked hands, when they came together. They, then, went to their study hall and sat next to each other. They began to talk, since their teacher didn't have much to say about study hall. "So where is that mall you were talking about," Nick asked quietly. "Oh, it's a couple towns over. Not that far," Ashley responded. "I knew it wouldn't be here, since this town's too small. I'm surprised you even have a Casey's," Nick laughed. "So where is your address, so I know where to pick you up?" She, then, scribbled her address on a piece of paper and handed it to him. "What time do you want me to pick you up," Nick asked. "How about 6:30?" "That would be cool," Nick smiled. Ashley smiled back, while trying to think of what to wear that night. |
