| Kesgrave Town Reserves vs Nacton Bulls | |||||||||||||
| Kesgrave Town Reserves 2 v 0 Nacton Bulls Sunday saw Nactons first game of the season with a friendly against Kesgrave Town Reserves. Nacton who have lost one or two players from last season had some new faces in their line up. Kesgrave kicked the match off and were soon putting the Nacton defence under pressure with which they coped very well, and didnt let Kesgrave threaten the Nacton goal with any serious effort. Nacton had several ventures forward into the Kesgrave penalty area unfortunately they were also unable to have any serious effort on goal. We reached half-time with the game goalless. Nacton kicked off the second half and were showing better possession also moving the ball a lot better without threatening the Kesgrave goal. The first goal of the goal of the game went to Kesgrave when a bouncing in the Nacton penalty area wasnt dealt with and a Kesgrave forward nipped in to hook the ball into the net. Kesgrave increased their lead when a Nacton defender was caught ball watching instead of player watching to allow a Kesgrave forward a clear run on goal which he took full advantage of to make the final score 2-0 to Kesgrave. Nacton team can feel pleased with there performance as they matched Kesgrave who are a division higher. Chris Hinton was man of the match for Nacton with a fine display at centre-back with good positioning and use of the ball. One other person who made his debt was Stuart Elvin who done an excellent job running the line for Nacton. |
