Munson was formed in the summer of 2001 by Rob Givens and Travis Chrisman. The two friends were looking for a reason to "jam" and a band was the best option. Realizing that no band ever rocked with just a guitarist and a bassist, the two sought out the services of Zach Wilson, a co-worker of Rob's. After many months of playing shows primarily to Chuck Davis and the occasional little brother or girlfriend the trio of rockers decided it was time to expand.
After discussing things, plans were made to audition Josh Suprenant a.k.a. Soop, to help Rob in the guitar department. Soop's skills were just what they were looking for and quickly he was asked to join. More time passed until Rob talked to a man, a myth and a legend......Patrick Daugherty about possibly taking over lead vocals for a few practices to see if he fit in. Now that the entire outfit was together, the only thing left to discover was if the chemistry was there. Luckily for the tenacious fivesome and the entire music world, it was. So much so, in fact, that songs were written at the first full practice. From there, things only went up. The band played a total of four succesful shows in a very short time. The band was on a high, they were on fire, they ruled the world!!!! And just when they thought that things couldn't get any better... they didn't. Pat quit, Travis got kicked out, and nothing much happened in the world of Munson for about six months. After many moons of searching for a new singer , the tittilating trio had a revelation: Let's get Audrey to sing and play keyboards!!! With this tremendous anti-accomplishment, the life was breathed back into this dying beast, and the dream was revived. Munson is starting to come back to life, and the world is not ready... So, prepare to be wowoed, zowed, kapowed, cloud and other words that end in owd, because Munson is here, and we are fully armed and prepared to bring the rock to the people, and the people to the rock. Or at least to get rocks thrown at us. Or something. Thanks!!!
