MistyDawn. NB, Canada Ever since I can remember, the only Christmas tradition I know is my parents always let me open a Christmas gift on Christmas Eve. Christmas morning we had to make breakfast first and then open the rest of the presents. Not to worry, we made sure to wake our parents up bright and early. Now I have to look forward to this tradition as well with Hunter. Woo hoo |

Brittany the #1 SpongeBob fan !! NB, Canada Around this time of year I am very busy with school, school dances, cheerleading, and getting ready for chritmas dance concerts. Every year I watch movies with my family and sing. This year at school we are going to Kennabec Manor to sing for the older people. Me and 2 other friends are going to sing Jingle bell rock. On the last day of school before the Christmas Holiday at school we just play games, sing and have fun. I go to a dance school and every year about the first week of December we have a dance concert where we get to go on stage and finally do what we have practiced so long for. TO DANCE !! It is a Christmas dance and we mostly dance to Christmas music and wear Santa hats with garland in our hair. Then we do lots of Christmas shopping and then around the first week before Christmas we decorate our tree. On Christmas Eve me and my brother get to open one present before we go to bed but before we do we always put out milk and cookies for Santa and carrots and celery for the reindeer. During the Christmas Holidays I always talk to my best friend Kelsie. She moved and she is not in my school anymore and I really miss her so we try and keep in touch over the holidays as much as we can. She was supposed to be in my class but she moved and had to change schools so she couldn't be in my class. On Christmas day I call my friends and tell them what I got for Christmas then they tell me. That is what I usually do for Christmas and I hope that everyone has a Merry Christmas. Did I mention that I am a preteen? LOL |

Wendy J. NB, Canada My fondest Christmas memory takes place over the course of Christmas eve and Christmas day. On Christmas eve, we would sit on the couch and watch dad; (may he rest in peace); do the tedious job of putting the lights on the tree. We didn't decorate it, that was Santa's job!!! Watching with much anticipation, we would wait patiently for the last string to go on. With that being done he would then turn it on. This usually took about and hour and a half to complete, cause he would have to take a few breaks...haha. Once this task was done we would move on to the next one. I shared a room with my little sister. Dad would come to our room and help us put up our own little tree. Dad always drew the star and we would color it. He would then tie it to the top of the tree. It was beautiful!!! Once we were finished we would have a little snack, knowing it would soon be time to hang the stockings. Dad would put the nails in the mantle over the fire place and we would all hang our stockings. The four girls hung theirs and my sister and I would hang mom and dad's. Then it was off to bed. When we woke up (which was VERY early), we would wake the two older girls and go for the stockings. The two older ones would take theirs and my little sister would take mom's while I took dad's. We would run into their bedroom and jump up on the bed. We pass mom and dad their stockings and tear in at ours. When we had finished we would run to the living room and sure enough the tree was decorated. It was just like magic!!!!! Santa had done the most beautiful job and we were certain that our tree was the best! We gathered in the living room and waited for mom and dad to bring their coffee. Once they got there we immediately tore into our presents. When we were done my younger sister would pass mom her gifts one at a time. I would then start passing my dad his gifts one at a time as well. Once it was all said and done we would then all sit down together and have breakfast. Oh to be back there once more!! From my Family to yours......Merry Christmas |
