Adults & Family Activities
This page describes both current and future activities & events
designed for our adult members of our Church family and their guests,
or for the entire family and their guests

Some activities & events are already planned,
and others are potential events we may be doing in the future.
Events & activities that are currently being offered or planned are listed in Yellow-Gold print

Parents' Night Out
See our listing on our "Youth Activities" page under "Sleep-over & Games Night / Parents' Night Out" for details. Take a breather without the kids running around!

Camping with the King
Family camping trips to places like Lake Lure and Kings Mountain Park. Trips may include camping, fishing, hiking, or other outdoors activities. Fellowship with your Church family, and enjoy some fresh air, beautiful scenery, and wholesome fun.

Potluck Dinners
A chance to share good food, conversation, music, laughter and great fellowship.


Church Picnics
A variation on the Potluck Dinners, in an outdoors setting where we can also enjoy God's gift of nature.


Ice Cream Socials
A tasty treat for the whole family. Be careful not to overindulge your sweet tooth though... or you may need a few extra visits to our Dance Aerobics classes! (just kidding).

Secret Sisters
Here's one for the ladies. Similar to the program used in many workplaces, this is a way to thank and delight your sisters in Christ through tokens of your appreciation.

Father-Son Fishing Trips
Dad and the boys can spend some quality time in the relaxing pastime of fishing. A great opportunity to fit in some of those "talks" you've always been "meaning to get to" someday. Here's your chance for "someday", combined with fun.

Ladies' Victorian Tea Luncheon
Mom and the girls can enjoy being pampered by a delightful afternoon of tea, sandwiches, and pastries, with a big dose of conversation thrown in for good measure. Dress up in your "Victorian" finery (or other "nice" dresses, hats, etc.) to complete the experience. Open to ladies of all ages.



Family Fall Festival
A family-oriented alternative to the same old Halloween activities.
Some of the planned activities include:

  • Dressing up in costumes (nothing risque or inappropriate) and costume contests (most original, cutest, etc.)

  • Cake Walk

  • Games for the kids

  • Pumpkin Carving Contest

  • Potluck Dinner








Church-Family Thanksgiving Dinner
A chance for our members and their families/guests to share good food, conversation, music, laughter and great fellowship. Scheduled for Sunday, November 6th, 2005 at 6:00 p.m.






Christmas Tree Trimming
We will all gather together to decorate the sanctuary in preparation for the Christmas season. Hot Chocolate, hot cider, coffee, tea, snacks, etc. will be served. Scheduled for Sunday, December 4th, 2005 at 6:00 p.m.

Church-Family Christmas Dinner
A chance for our members and their families/guests to share good food, conversation, music, laughter and great fellowship. Scheduled for Sunday, December 18th, 2005 at 6:30 p.m.
