I make the announcement that I will create a roster for the year 1988 for the Jumpshot Basketball league using various homepages and a lot of free time.

25. november, 2001.

With the roster for Jumpshot Basketball´s 1988 season on it´s way I begin to make this homepage, using what appears to be a useless piece of s*it version of homepage maker (Win ME).

26. November, 2001.

I realise that I could have saved alot of time by importing these stats with the “importer” somehow but what the heck, I´m enjoying making this the hard way (inserting stats, player by player). Upcoming superstars in Jumpshot Basketball 1988: Robert Parish, Larry Bird, Magic Johnson, Jabbar (not actually a superstar in ´88), Danny Ainge, Stockton to Malone, Hakeem Olajuwon and many many more. The season itself will probably be ready by thursday or friday and the rookie files (for seasons 89-01) a week later.

29. November, 2001.

Only 11 teams left to put in the game now and I have some days off from work so it should take just 1 or 2 more days. I was surprised to see that Isiah Thomas isn´t all that good when I insert his stats, he´s actually not that good defender sais the computer, but I changed that. You can change it back if you want.

30. November, 2001.

I´m having trouble loading my online resource for draft picks from the past, that tells me how many years the players have been pros, otherwise things are going great. Should be ready within the next 2 days.

2. December, 2001.

The roster for 1988 is ready. You can find it on the download page. Please note that there might be some faults in there, I´ve gone over it again and again and it shouldn´t have flaws. Remember to e-mail me with problems or flaws.

Also notice that I´ve added a forum where you can post your comment about the roster or other things that are on your mind.

It´s 5:11 am here in Iceland and I just finished the first rookie file. Actually I have been alot more busy than I thought plus the work on these rookie files is unbelieveble much. This might take a while. Anyway, you can get the rookie file on the download page. Please note that I changed some ratings manually, I was not happy with how terrible defenders the rookies were, except David Robinson (although he wasn´t a rookie, I know.. but how else am I supposed to insert in the league?). Enjoy.

Happy new year everybody.

I´m sorry that it has taken this much time but the second rookie file is out. With it the first rookie file is also but with alittle tuning. You can find it at the download page. I´ve been busy with other stuff until now. From now on I´m focused on these rookie files and hopefully they´ll be done soon.

The forum seems to have disapeared, I´ll try to put a new one up.

I´ve fixed both 1989 and 1990 rookie import files. All rookies had average in intangibles because of a tiny input mistake. Go to the download page and get it.

Minor update here. Just fixed some of the teams so the results should be realistic from now on, except for the Pistons, I just can´t make them a winning team no matter what I do. You know where to download it.

After I changed the teams to make it more realistic I have noticed that the players are having alittle high ratings in offense and defense. It´s very common to have around 20-25 total in both def and off which is alittle too high. I was thinking about lowering each category both in defense and offense about 2 points (total 8). Just wanted to know what you guys thought about it.

I want to thank Gary Roberts, a.k.a. Grumblecat, for saving me weeks of work on these rookie files by making some kind of program, finding all the rookies faster and stuff like that., thank you!

I´m sorry for the delay of the 1997-2001 draft files. Hopefully I´ll post them soon. Until then I have this 1966 roster for you to test. It was sent to me by “Casebier” and can be downloaded here.

For everyone out there that has made a roster for any season or any league, please send it to me if you want others to enjoy it. I´d be glad to post it.

Later today I´ll be flying to Reykjavík and from there I´ll fly to Minnesota to catch the Utah Jazz @ Minnesota Timberwolves game!! I still can´t believe it. This will be my first NBA game, and to see Malone and Stockton play is priceless. Anyway, I´ll be back next tuesday.

I´m sorry for the delay of 1998 rookie file. I´m working this weekend and have been sick, plus I dislocated a finger that has made it harder for me to input the stats and finally I am waiting for the newest jumpshot version that has an update for the rookie import stuff. Anyway, a few days until I finish this 1988 roster, finally.

The 2000 rookie file is out. Download it here. 2 more teams to input in the 2001-2002 season roster plus the salaries and that will be done. Now I´m on to find the 2001 rookies and then that will be done. Any ideas for new project? Go to the forum or just e-mail me if you´ve got ideas.

Once again I have to disapoint people and myself by delaying the making of 2001 rookie file. I´m now working both nights and day in my “normal” job so this will have to wait alittle. I´m using every spare time I have to work on this though. Sorry.

I´ve stayed up most of the night working on the 2001-2002 rosters, putting the salaries in and experience so it should be done in about 1 day or so. I´ll post it as soon as I finish it. When I´ve finished that, I´m pretty sure the final rookie file will come quickly.

Finally I´ve made the 2001-2002 roster. You can´t download it here. I didn´t input the depth chart because of 2 things, I don´t have the time and I don´t have the complete knowledge to do it. Sorry about that.

It seems the roster for 2001-2002 season is corrupt for some reason. The salaries (that took me around 40 hours to put in) moved around from player to player so it of no use. I´ll try to fix it.

I´m almost finished with the 2001-2002 roster... again. If everything goes to plan it will be finished in 2 days, that is if the salaries wont shift from player to player, for some reason.
