If you're interested in meeting your favorite authors and getting the
pic of the latest black titles, then the NBAF bookstores are the place to
visit. There are two official National Black Arts Festival bookstores: African
Spectrum Bookstore is located in Underground Atlanta directly opposite the
information & visitors bureau on the upper level and Medu Books is located
in Greenbriar Mall (near the airport) next to GNC Healthfoods.
The stores will host signings and poetry readings throughout the ten days
of the festival. Shay Youngblood, Nathan McCall, Diane McKinney-Whetstone
and The Last Poets are just a few attendees to look for. All books written
by authors participating in the literature component of the festival will
be available in addition to thousands of titles by black authors and much,
much more! Visit the stores or call African Spectrum at 404-658-1711 and
Medu Bookstore at 404-346-3263 for more information. Find scheduled signings
and appearances in the Daily Schedule Listings.
