-U.S.A Basketball Team begin practice
On August 16th, the U.S. Basketball Team that will compete in the World Basketball Championships began training in San Francisco. They will spend 13 days practicing until the Tournament begins on August 29th.
-Baron Davis added to U.S.A. Basketball Squad for World Basketball Championships
Baron Davis has been added to to the U.S.A. Basketball Team in place of Jason Kidd to play in the World Basketball Championships. Jason Kidd had injured his knee earlier in the summer, and decided to sit out the World Basketball Championships which begin August 29th in Indiana. Some of Baron Davis's teamates on the U.S.A Team include Paul Pierce of the Boston Celtics, Andre Miller of the Los Angeles Clippers, Ben Wallace of the Detroit Pistons, Jermaine O'neal of the Indiana Pacers, and Elton Brand of the Los Angeles Clippers.
