Lesson 1- Basic Rules

All right. If you're going to do Magic, you need to learn the basic rules first.

First of all, the key cards called manas, or color sources, needs the most recognition.

Here we have from the left to right: forest, island, mountain, plains, and swamp. In the poem on the main site, it states how the world of Magic was created, and about who will rule in the end. If you've ever played pokemon cards before, these are like the energy cards. Without these cards, you wouldn't be able to play cards at all.

-------

Each color has their own special abilities.

RED- A GOOD BALANCE OF CREATURES, THE MOST FAMOUS COLOR, HAS CHEAP MAGIC SPELLS THAT HURTS ENEMIES A LOT, MANY CREATURES HAVE "HASTE"

BLUE- THE MASTER OF COUNTER SPELLS, MANY CREATURES HAVE FLYING, AND MANY WALLS

GREEN- EXTREMELY STRONG CREATURES, SPELLS THAT RAISE CREATURES' POWER BY A GIGANTIC AMOUNT

WHITE- MASTERS OF HEALING, LOTS OF SPELLS AND ABILITIES WHICH HEALS PLAYERS A LOT, LOTS OF ANGEL-TYPE CARDS AS WELL

BLACK- SACRIFICING IS IT'S KEY BUSINESS, LOTS OF REGENERATION CARDS, AND GIVES LOTS OF NEGATIVE EFFECTS

------

Secondly, let me state a few rules.

1. All players start with 20 "life", but may go over that number later if the player heals.

2. There can be as many players as they wish, however decks may not be shared.

3. All libraries (or also called deck of cards) must have AT LEAST 60 cards total in it, but the limit is 100.

4. Other players may not look at the enemies' cards.

5. If a player runs out of cards in their hand or if there are no cards to pick up from the library, they lose instantly.

6. Amount of cards in a player's hand may not go under 1 or go over 7. If a player has 7 at the end of their turn, they must throw one card away.

7. There may only be one of each "Legend"-type creatures with the same name in your deck.

------

Think that's it. Now, the first step is to make a deck! To get cards, you should order them online from somewhere like Amazon, or if you get a change- the U.S.

As I said before, decks may be only 60~100 cards. But that's still a lot. Before you can go and look at all those cards, you must first decide your colours.

------

Normal players choose (usually) 2 colors, and masters go up to 3 or even all the colors! But beginners should probably start with just 1 color for their deck.

When you have made your deck, proceed to Lesson 2.
