Our 3rd Annual MK Retreat is coming soon - and you are INVITED!!
This year it will be at SNU (Southern Nazarene University). The dates are August 3-7, 2007. There is no cost for you to attend, you just have to find your way to and from SNU for those dates. (Your parents have permission to cover this cost out of their deputation accounts from HQ) MNU will be takinga bus to SNU, so if you can get to Kansas City by August 2 we can include you in on the free transportation down. More information will be coming about specifics to the event once I know youa are coming.
What is the event all about?
It will partly be a time to get together as MK's. As an MK myself, I was always amazed at that instant connection that allowed me to understand other MK's without having to explain myself and vice versa. That connection is magical and I LOVE watching you guys interact.
It is also goign to be a time where we will grow closer to God as we have a deep spiritual emphasis throughout the event.
This event is for High School Seniors/College-age MK's so we will have some reentry sessions and those who have gone through reentry can help those who are about to go through for the first time.
We will also be doing a lot of outdoor activities this year definitely swimming, and we are looking into going to a state park that has horseback riding.rock climbing and having a cookout on Saturday. Basically ti will be a lot of fun and you will come away with friendships that will last your whole life!
I would love to see you all -wouldn't that be so much fun if everyone could come :)
Just to try to get a head count, I would love to hear from you all if you are planning on coming, can't come of just have questions! As I know who is coming I'll send out a lost of the MK's that are coming so you can see if you know anyone :)
