My Father....Do YOU Know Him?
Hi! First of all, I would like to thank you for taking the time to check this page out (it means a lot to me)! This is My Father; his name is Christos Mechalopolous (the spelling of his last name is questionable; i.e. Michalopolous-I have also just recently{12/07/99}found Mechalopoulos as a possible spelling). This picture was taken on Halloween 1968, in San Francisco, California. The people in this picture were mutual friends of my mom and father. The woman's name is Marcie, the man's name with the green shirt on is Jay, and the man's name with the orange jacket on is John (my mother cannot remember the other man's name). My father came to The USA as an illegal alien, and worked for Mission Radiator in San Francisco.
He was about 34 years old in 1969, the year I was born (he would be about 64 years old now). He was multi-lingual, fluently speaking 7 different langauges. A couple of years ago, I sent out over 100 letters to EVERYONE with the same last name. Out of these 100 letters, I got about 15 phone calls and about 10 letters from well-wishers but none of them had any legitimate information. One man did call me and "knew a little too much" but I never heard from him again. So, needlesstosay, my search has turned up nothing but dead-ends. I am hoping by putting this page on here, someone out there will have some kind of information. I know that I have "half-siblings" (he is Greek afterall!), and I would really like to meet them.
I have traveled down many different avenues along my "Father-Search-Trip" and have had little, if any, luck. So I am begging you, if you know my father, any person in this picture, or even THINK you might know him, please E-mail me.
