Precious was born on Folenhof farm in Canada and is now owned and ridden by Kelsy Smith of Nayborly farms. He is a large horse trapped in a little 13.2h Haflinger body. His awesome jumping talent and outlook on life suggest he was meant to be a famous Thoroughbred. Of all the horses at Nayborly Farms, he has acquired the most nicknames: Chicken Little (he never fails to spook at the white stadium fence he has jumped hundreds of times), Needy One (he was an orphan, and would like to live in the house), and The Red Devil (despite his small size, he is always out to show the others who's the boss), are only a few of the names he goes by. He events with Kelsy at Novice level and has never placed outside of the ribbons, recently taking first frequently. At dressage shows he has scored in the seventieth percentile, and he beats the Thoroughbreds and Warmbloods at jumper shows. He is learning to be a trick horse and has already mastered laying down, sitting, bowing, striking, and standing on platforms. He is always accompanied by his "double trouble" partner Mikey, and the two never fail to make rides interesting. He is considered a trained horse as he will pull a sled with a person through the snow, carry therapeutic riding students, and carry Kelsy bridle-less and saddle-less over fences.
