New Age of Wrestling: Saturday Night Brawls (October 9th event) Preview by Harold Williams

New Age of Wrestling returns to The Normandy Gym (1145 71st Street) in Miami, Florida on October 9th for "Saturday Night Brawls". The event begins at 8:00 PM. However, before I begin discussion this upcoming event, I want to discuss a situation that is stemming from my column regarding last month's show and something that happened at that event. In that particular column, I had mentioned a rumor was that Commissioner Bloodstone was looking for a new member to replace J-Biggs in the Goodfellas faction. I suggested that Kage McVay would be the right choice. Fast forward to the August 28th NAW show. Goodfellas member Kolt hires Kage to take out J-Biggs. It turned out to be a major swerve, as J-Biggs reunited with The Goodfellas, almost crippling McVay in the process.

Since that night, I have seen countless reports on the Internet accusing me of being a part of last months set-up, and that I personally suggested the idea to The Goodfellas. Kage McVay is one of the people that believes this, and I have the threatening e-mails to prove it! The fact is, I had nothing to do with what happened to McVay. The Goodfellas read my columns just like everyone else does. Is it my fault, if my writings helped inspire their actions? No. Besides, great minds think alike. So I suggest that you back off, Mr. McVay, because I am sure that Commissioner Bloodstone would not appreciate finding out that you have been harassing an icon of pro-wrestling journalism such as myself.

In any case, Kage McVay is going to attempt to gain revenge as a teams with Brandon Starr to face Kolt & J-Biggs in a, "No Holds Barred" match. Starr & McVay are both talented individuals, but I honestly must question their wisdom in regards to wanting this match. Remember, not only is J-Biggs your World Champion, but he defeated McVay last month. Also, Kolt had a recent win over Starr. Throw the, "no holds barred" stipulation into the equation, and you have what will most likely be a long and painful night for McVay and Starr.

Mykal Manix proved the critics wrong last month when he defeated Kolt to become the new NAW International Champion. Manix will be making his first title defense on October 9th when he steps into the ring with Dirt Bike Kid. DBK is no stranger to gold, as he has been the World Champion of a different promotion. Will Manix be able to get by Dirt Bike Kid, or will we witness the International Title change hands?

NAW newcomer Zero will be making his debut on October 9th, as he takes on "Your Favorite Wrestler" Danny Denis. Will "Your Favorite Wrestler" be able to handle someone who has never been seen in NAW before? It will be difficult for Denis to come up with a pre-match strategy to use against Zero.

Also in action will be Kassidy. The former FSCW Light Heavyweight Champion is a great talent, combining mat-skills with a lucha libre-style. Known as "Queen of the Swanton Bomb", she is always ready to take on anyone- male, female, and even extreme women of wrestling. Kassidy likes to describe herself with the phrase, "No fear--all attitude". See Kassidy on October 9th to watch her fearless attitude in action.

Don't miss a minute of the excitement! Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for kids.
