NAW Preview New Age of Wrestling (August 13th event) Preview by Harold Williams On August 13th, New Age of Wrestling will bring their brand of pro-wrestling entertainment to The West Miami Recreation Center. Below I take a look at the matches that will be taking place at this exciting event, as well as give my predictions. J-BIGGS (champion) vs. "YOUR FAVORITE WRESTLER" DANNY DENIS (challenger) for the NAW World Title: As the current NAW World Champion, J-Biggs appears to be unstoppable. He is such a dominating presence that he turned his back on the Goodfellas so that he can continue his career alone. However, his match with "Your Favorite Wrestler" Danny Denis will be one of the biggest opportunities of Denis' career, so Denis will be more determined to win than he ever has been in the past. On top of that, Denis will be receiving the shot at the NAW World in his own hometown of West Miami. It's safe to assume that he will have the home crowd advantage and that it will work in his favor. Even if the fans don't root for Denis, he has enough confidence in himself to make up for it. It should also be noted that the Goodfellas will also be in the building on August 13th. J-Biggs recently turned his back on the Goodfellas, and as as far as Goodfellas members Kolt and BloodStone are concerned, if you're a Goodfella, you're a Goodfella for life- or else. Will the Goodfellas use this match as an opportunity to attack J-Biggs? With so many factors working against J-Biggs, I think that on August 13th, not only will Danny Denis be, "Your Favorite Wrestler", but he will be, "Your Favorite Champion" as well. BRANDON STARR (challenger) vs. "YOUR HERO" KOLT (champion) for the NAW International Title: Kolt has one of the most impressive resumes on the Florida wrestling scene, and already holds a win over Brandon Starr, since Starr was one of the wrestlers that was in the match where Kolt won the International Title. However, Brandon Starr was the previous holder of the title, so he knows what it takes to be International Champion. Starr also has a good fan following, and I predict that this along with his skills will be enough to gain a win. MYKAL MANIX vs. "SHOWTIME" JB COOL for number one contendership for the NAW World Title: Both of these men have a major opportunity in front of them, as the winner will receive a shot at the NAW World Title in the near future. I think that Mykal Manix has the advantage. He is one of the toughest competitors in NAW, and recently gained a victory over Kolt, who is the current International Champion. I think that Manix is going to walk away with the win, but if Cool manages to get an upset win, it will be he who will be facing the NAW World Champion. KAGE MCVAY vs. LUIS "TOO MUCH" TRICON: This will be a match involving two men who have had impressive showings in NAW recently. Last month at the Backstreet Brawl Series event, Kage McVay gained a victory over Kidd Krazy, and Luis "Too Much" Tricon defeated El Electrico at the very same event. This match will not be an easy match for either competitor, but I predict that Luis "Too Much" Tricon will be victorious in this match. KIDD KRAZY vs. "FABOLOUS" DICK HARD: Kidd Krazy is an NAW talent who might be the best kept secret in Florida wrestling. He has an amazing repertoire of moves, such as, "Kid Terminator" (which is performed even better than a similar move that is performed by a certain, "Mr. Thursday Night") and the "Krazy Krack Cutter" (a swinging neckbreaker that always causes a traumatic twist of fate for it's victims). However, he will face a tough challenge in the form of, "Fabolous" Dick Hard. As talented as Krazy is, that may not be enough to overcome the tremendous ego of Dick. After having had starred in many movies, Dick Hard just can't get enough attention. He will try his best to get the fans to boo him, and the more they hate him, the more motivated he will get. If there's anyone in NAW who knows how to get a rise out of the fans, it's Dick Hard. I predict that Dick Hard will stand tall in victory. Believe it or not, NAW will have even more in store on August 13th! Pepe Garbonzo will be there, having fun and entertaining the fans! Kassidy will be at the show, ready to take on anyone who gets in her way! The Dirt Bike Kid will be there, making sure that everyone has a "dirt bike day"! El Electrico will give an electrifying appearance! ACE will be there as well! Don't miss this show. See New Age Wrestling LIVE at The West Miami Recreation Center (1800 SW 62nd Avenue)! The action begins at 7:30 PM. Tickets are $7 for adults, and $5 for kids.
