Songs
A collection of songs I've written that still need music.
If you only knew
If we can sit by the fire and you can lend me your ears.
I'll share with you the story of my dark and lonesome years.

I grew as a child and learned from my mistakes.
My teachers were those, all the pains and the aches.

I lived in the streets of a city once loved with its hate.
I took peoples blames and I burdened their weight.

I had seen many things that most people don't want to see.
I even watched a friend take his rifle and then set himself free.

When I reached the age of twelve, I knew this world was cold.
I had witnessed people die and watched their lives unfold.

With the speed of a feather falling down from the sky.
Each day was so painful while my life had crawled by.

Often it seemed that all my efforts were of no use.
I even bartered with suicide until I found a truce.

There is this one day that still haunts each and every day.
My Mom had told me she was dying, that she would go away.

It was right at that one moment that I made peace with myself.
I took her photos and things she gave me and put them on a shelf.

She is truly my guidance, my spirit and my light.
I only pray she'll never leave and soar away in flight.
