A Tiger's Stare It's Never Easy
Do you know what it means,
To stop dead in your tracks?
Feeling a closeness,
That's colder than wax?

As you step down a path,
That you think is alright.
You've crossed a thin line,
You're well in their site.

And seconds before,
Your life starts to flash.
You can hear the grass part,
As that of a sash.

Within just a moment,
Under heat of the sun.
It now stands before you,
Awaiting the run.

But it's that look their eye,
The cold stare of death.
That scent of fresh blood,
On wind from their breath.

As you say your last prayer,
You hear a faint cry.
You now know the reason,
Yet still wonder why.

She takes up a stance,
You now see her cub.
Like lead to eraser,
Life's gone in a rub.
It's never easy,
To say goodbye,
Or even hug and kiss.

It's never easy,
To just say Hi,
Never knowing what you'll miss.

It's never easy,
Admitting you're wrong,
For that we all concur.

It's never easy,
To go on strong,
And constantly endure.

It's never easy,
To be a friend,
To barge in someone's life.

It's never easy,
To once offend,
And start a lonely strife.

It's never easy,
To walk the land,
And head into your dreams.

It's never easy,
To just withstand,
The torment of their screams.
A Cherokee's Pride
You're never untouched,
And never alone.
Whenever you hide,
So deep into bone.

I look to the sky,
And bundle in fur.
I look to the ground,
And there's nothing but blur.

If ever a chance,
There ever might be.
I'd run off with you,
And you'd run off with me.

If I had the power,
I'd clean off the Earth.
Because Mom I have loved you,
Even since my own birth.
Across the Skies
At just the right moment,
You can glimpse the red sky.
The sun starts to fade,
A most glorious lie.

You think you're alone,
In the absence of light.
But creatures still wander,
Beyond darkened sight.

I went to the desert,
To find an old thought.
A forgotten serenity,
Once looked for and sought.

I found not a clue,
That led to a find.
But I stumbled across,
The solitary mind.

When provoked with a chance,
It just might be found.
The purity of Life,
The touch of a sound.

Like a child at birth,
A fish out at sea.
We live to our best,
Until we are free.

The clouds are my mentor,
A teacher of truth.
We can learn many things,
If we act as a sleuth.

If you try to stay warm,
And dry in the rain.
You'll soon find your efforts,
Slightly in vein.

So go forth in your life,
Without worry of wet.
You'll reach all your goals,
And you won't even fret.
Declaration of Fortification
On top of my dresser,
Wrapped up in gold.
There lies an old story,
That's yet to been told.

I'll tell you it now,
And soon you will know.
That life's just a glimpse,
An illusion, a show.

At the turn of the century,
Society grew dim.
Our hopes of the future,
Began to turn grim.

There once was a time,
When children would play.
Up and down streets,
From night until day.

I remember the smell,
Of blueberry pie.
Old ladies that cooked,
And brethren that died.

And you can still hear a cry,
As you walk past the church.
That stood on the hill,
Where prayers had once lurched.

On an off-beaten path,
In a forest so grand.
Dorment it lies,
Forever it stands.

You'll find an old tree,
Once cherished by few.
Where heroes once bled,
Starting life of a new.
Ghost of the Gallows
In the light of the midnight moon,
You can gatch but just a glimpse.
Amongst the windy gallows,
If a spirit that once lived.

On a dark a clouded night,
With a chill that frosted fear.
A lonely merchant passing by,
Heard it cackle in his ear.

Under a charcoal colored cloak,
He witnessed a horrific sight.
With the burning fires of Hell,
Its eyes were bright with light.

With a cold and heartless laugh,
The moon had lit its evil face.
With dusted skull and snake-like smile,
It was now a struggled race.

The quicker he traveled,
The less he had gained.
"What is this evil spirit?"
That which is pure, completely unchained.

With a skeletal reach,
That one final grasp.
The merchant had failed,
He then came in last.

Once again on this road,
A life has been claimed.
A most plentiful harvest,
Aprropriately named.

And quit some distance back,
There stands a single sign.
"Beware the cursed hangman,
Until the end of time."
Sands of Time
Up the dunes,
And across the lands.
Through scorching heat,
And endless sands.

Up into the skies,
With no trace of a cloud.
A vulture cries out,
With a screech that is loud.

Many people have crossed,
This land over time.
Many unwillingly,
Buried with lime.

But if there is one thing,
That remains to be true.
These sands will still be here,
When the world is all blue.
Beyond Tempted Eyes
When you walk with a group,
You must see past their mask.
With eternal strength,
A most troublesome task.

Most people would seem,
Have something to hide.
Constantly searching,
For that one easy ride.

They'll play you the fool,
Advance on your ground.
But you need to be strong,
Mental and sound.

Never give them a chance,
To take over your will.
You need to stand tall,
And live atop of the hill.

When you finally succeed,
And get to the top.
You've climbed your last mountain,
Don't think you should stop.

A master is only a master,
When he never stops to learn.
If you strive in your ways,
Then you'll never get burned.
Intrusive Elements
Before we get started,
And before I begin.
I'll tell you a secret,
Which I'll let you in.

For the times we've all wanted,
To avoid & allude.
I hope that my meaning,
Is not misconstrued.

You shouldn't feel bad,
For it's a natural thing.
To endure this alone,
Detached from a wing.

There comes a true time,
In which we mean well.
But the pain is too much,
Never wanting to dwell.

Promise me one thing,
That you'll do your best.
When faced with a problem,
Inside of your chest.

We've all had to face,
A path of true reason.
Seemingly impossible,
At every new season.

But deep down inside,
Somewhere in our hearts.
We can still hear a voice,
That hurts when it starts.

But soon you'll begin,
To take its advice.
If not it gains grip,
With immortal vice.

So set your own path,
And walk to the light.
You can hear your own freedom,
Break through from this night.
Struggle for Strength
All my life,
I've never tried.
My hardest until,
My life had died.

I awoke one day,
When it was dark.
The rain had passed,
Over distant park.

Early one morning,
I started to train.
'Till late afternoon,
I started to gain.

For years on end,
I grew stronger each day.
I pushed myself harder,
It was the only way.

No one could beat me,
I was the best in town.
I grew even stronger,
When my hopes were all down.

My mind was so focused,
My spirit was sound.
The Path to Success,
Is all that I found.

Reality's harsh,
Belief is untrue.
All that I want,
Is my last fight with you.

You had natural strength,
I never possessed.
You thought I had changed,
Is what you would have guessed.

I was the perfect warrior,
Ruthless and cold.
I abandoned all feelings,
I cherished the old.

The Elders are lucky,
Their idols have died.
They know only pain,
They don't even cry.

I'm controlling my fate,
Watch after my kin.
I'm fighting for you,
Goodbye my old friend.
In The End
I've tried my hardest,
I've kept it all inside.
From my moment of birth,
'Till death was at my side.

I've fought my hardest,
I've pushed myself further than human limit.
And now I see, that it doesn't even matter,
Life will walk out on you one day and quit.

I've trained my hardest,
I've worked hours upon hours to be the best.
No on could ever compare,
But in the end, it seems to me, you're just like the rest.
Remorse
A moral dance,
I took with chance,
It ran its way on through.

The final thought,
My soul so taught,
And lightly looked at you.

A man can sting,
And he can sing,
And solve a silent bliss.

A woman's touch,
Is not by much,
Everything wrong but this.
The Lonely Magician
Doughnut Holes
As I flip up a card,
I glimpse  at your eyes.
This trick is too hard,
It's only a lie.

I tell you to choose,
A card which you pull.
You don't think you can lose,
Yet your eyes are so dull.

Can you not see?
The simple mythology?
That we keep inside if our minds?

I don't know how,
But I always hear "Wow!"
Looking through life's little blinds.

As I stand up on stage,
I finish the show.
I then disengage,
And their faces all glow.

Are they really happy?
Just for a moment?

Could performing an illusion,
Relieved all their pains?

And just for a second,
I look to the crowd.
Their faces all blend,
And then I haven't a doubt.
Round and plump,
A tastey lump,
My doughnut's filled with holes.

Bake and battered,
Chocolate or powdered,
A dozen fit in plastic bowls.

In a box, made from paper,
I inhale the doughnut vapor,
And look at all the sprinkles.

Behind the glass,
Made for the mass,
Hey! This one has wrinkles!
