Only those who are ready to risk it all and meet the greatest challenge would dare venture into this community. Anyone who considers joining special operations receives fair warning. Not only is their work considered the riskiest in the Navy, but also the training is excruciating. If you make it through the school (and few do) you need prove nothing to anyone-for the rest of your life.

Special Operations Forces practice their trade by parachuting out of aircraft into the freezing black ocean, then swimming for miles to a guarded beach and inserting themselves behind simulated enemy lines.

When you are not sneaking around behind enemy lines conducting reconnaissance or precision strike operations, you could be conducting underwater salvage, repair and maintenance, submarine rescue, surface search and rescue, underwater obstacle demolition, or racing at over 60 miles per hour in heavily armored speedboats. These and many other risky propositions would make your friends' chins drop in amazement.
