Allinson Triumphs in Navvy Booze off
25/12/04

A stunned Bankshouse last night saw a succession of victories for Navvy drinking champion Michael Allinson. Allison not only scooped the prestigious Navvy Open but also achieved a personal goal of necking all his drinks in a total time of 90 seconds. Already the victor of the impressive pub golf trophy Mike walked away 30 richer after a series of bets made over the past week all romped home for him.

Mike's achievement is even greater when it is remember that only four of the nine starters completed the course. The final standings were:

1. Allinson
2. Sunter
3. Knapp
4. Bean
Watson Fine Latest
11/12/04

The much troubled Navvy fund was today faced with yet another challenge after correspondance from the FA announced that having already paid a 23 fine for Watson red card, the team would have to pay another huge fine of 30 for the actual four letter outburst that caused the red card. The club is now back into the red after paying 30 to it's debtors to lift the team out of debt. The fine will not be popular with the team members who have already collectively paid off Watson's initial fine and are now faced with a bumper bill, due on Christmas eve.

In addition to this Watson will be given an extra three week suspension (27/12 to 16/1), which is approximately a week for every "fuck" shouted at the referee. Fortuitously the suspension will include an empty week on the fixture list but will involve Watson missing the Real Ale Madrid crunch match and the club's grudge match against Pudsey Reapers. It is hoped 'young' replacement Ian 'IG' Gardener will be able to fill the void for the matches.
Allinson in strike action
4/12/04

The world of football was plunged into controversy with the news that Navvies midfielder Mike Allinson has demanded that he be allowed to join a lower division side. Allinson, 23, is refusing to play for his contracted club and with manager Oliver Sunter refusing to sanction the transfer it seems that a stand off has been reached.

Allinson has a history of controversy and is well known for his outspoken statements in the press. It remains to be seen how Sunter will react to this latest debacle.
