Welcome to the new Oasis Honors page. As of 10/31/2008, AOL Hometown announced a shutdown of its pages, the former home for this event, celebrating bellydancers and troupes across the globe for their dedication to the munerous forms of Middle eastern dance and their presence on the web. Created back in 2001, this contest, held annually from June-November, celebrates those artists who continue to strive and make bellydance and other forms of Middle Eastern dance grow and strive to the next level of the future.

UPDATE: Effective on October 26, 2009, Yahoo!Geocities is suspending its free web hosting service.
So the Final 4 for all Oasis Honors 2009 categories will wrap up on October 24th instead of the 28th as usual, so the winners can be formally announced before the shutdown. The Finals for all Oasis Honors fields will be held in November on the new Brandon's Oasis website through Google.
