My life isn't the stuff that makes its way into the history books so I'll just hit the basics. I am in my early thirties. I am originally from Calhoun County, West Virginia but I now live in Huntington, WV. Between 1996 and 1999 I was the Residence Director of Louis Bennett Hall at Glenville State College. As an alumni, former employee, and former resident of Glenville, I have a lot of friends there still. Just in case any of you happen by my new site here, I want you to know I haven't forgotten you.

Now my wife and I live in Huntington, where we hope to live for the rest of our lives with our dog, house, cat, and twins. My wife, Jenny, is an incredible and beautiful woman. She would be glad for you to check out her web site. It is a little out of date right now but very nice.

We both work for a medical billing service, STAT Services, Inc. I am the Software Trainer/Technical Support for the company and Jenny is the Billing Manager. It is a tremendous company with a bright future and you are welcome to visit our web site.

I would be guilty of a grave injustice if I didn't mention my best friend, Sameersingh G. Raney (aka Sam). I met him while doing my graduate work at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. We soon became good friends. Going on at any length about this guy's character or achievements would embarrass him so I won't. Let it suffice to say, however, that I have never met a person whom I could trust nor respect more. I can honestly say that he is the most intelligent person I have ever known but anyone that stops at his intellect would miss the world of complex thought that lurks beneath. Many times have his insights plucked me away from the brink of personal disaster. Cynical though he may be, he is honestly one of the best people I know and I am honored to call him my friend. Besides, if I didn't say nice things about him he would punch me in the eye again with that blindingly swift right jab of his. Heaven knows I don't have a prayer of defeating Sam's martial arts skills. ;)

As for myself, I am a long-time student of the martial arts. I have studied Ko-Sutemi Seiei Kan Karate for 18 years under the guidance of Don Underwood. Don has been a father-figure and friend to me for many years. While working on my Master's degree in Biological Sciences I began studying Manabi-Masho Ju-Jitsu under Professor John H. Casarez, 10th degree black belt and a member of the Sokeship World Council (the world's most prestigious assembly of martial artists). I myself hold a 4th degree black belt in Manabi-Masho and a 4th Degree in Shoo-Jin. I was named Karate Man of the Year (1996) by The World Martial Arts Hall of Fame and Regional Instructor of the Year by The World Sokeship Council International Hall of Fame (1998), both of which I am a member. None of this is meant to be bragging, I assure you. It is simply that martial arts is a very important part of my life so I want to share my accomplishments with you. 'Nuff said.

In 1997 I began my own martial arts federation, the Aze-Ki Karate Academy. I founded it with my good friend and fellow sensei, Mickey Metz. Aze-Ki translates from Japanese as "Rising Spirit", symbolizing our goal of helping each student reach their ultimate physical and spiritual potential. Check out my page on the academy to read a little more.

For the last 10 years I have been developing an original comic intended for publication. If you are interested, come seek REDEMPTION.
