| We've catched this narrowbarred mackerel accidentally. We've planned for offshore fishing from Binuangen. But couldn't find a rental boat for that when we got there, and to cure our dissapointment, plan B was inshore fishing from the pier. |
| After a boring inshore fishing about 2 hours and got nothing. We tried to rent a local wooden boat for 2 hours trolling, and fishability of this boat was no comments. We were not targeting since the time was short and we just trolling around near the pier. In the first hour nothing was attracted to our plug and rubber squid lure that we used. But in the middle of second hours the rubber squid seems attracted a narrowbarred mackerel and strike! After a few minutes fight, the fish was landed onboard. And we just continued trolling for the last minutes and headed to the pier afterwards. The scale pointed at 29 lbs. For us it was not bad for two hours fishing. |
| It's located only about 3 miles before entering Muara Binuangen. Back to 1994's we used to fished from this concrete pier. But bad result was always accompanied. At that time we were always fishing with light tackles for 16 lbs and under, but the location is potential for Giant Trevally about 10 lbs in common. |
