I would like to begin this page by telling you about what I have discovered, and found to
be extremely fascinating...even to the unbeliever.Here are some of my findings:
To start, let's remember that when John wrote the book of Revelation, he was given a vision into the future.
Now...here is a man 2 thousand years ago, trying to explain what he sees, but having to use terms of his day.
That must have been difficult for him. Imagine...knowing only horses and carts, and trying to describe stealth bombers,
or helicopters! This is also true of Daniel, who is responsible for a great deal of prophecy in the old testament.
I found some scriptures that would not have made sense to folks living in our world only 60 years ago, but today, they are more than reasonable.
Taken from Revelation 11:
[Rev 11:3-4] And I will grant my two witnesses power to prophesy for one thousand two hundred and sixty days, clothed
in sackcloth.These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands which stand before the Lord of the earth.
[Rev 11:7-9] And when they have finished their testimony, the beast that ascends from the bottomless pit will make war
upon them and conquer them and kill them,and their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which is allegorically called Sodom and Egypt,
where their Lord was crucified.For three days and a half men from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations gaze at their dead
bodies and refuse to let them be placed in a tomb.
MY POINT: This would have been impossible only 60 short years ago...for men of all nations to gaze upon the dead bodies of these witnesses.
But now, with television and the media, it is not only possible...it is inevitable. The media jumps all over things such as this.
666, The Mark of the Beast
Taken from Revelation 13
[Rev 13:16-19] Also it (the beast) causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right
hand or the forehead,so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its
name.This calls for wisdom: let him who has understanding reckon the number of the beast, for it is a human
number, its number is six hundred and sixty-six.
MY POINT:This is the first time in history that the "powers that be" have the ability
to "lock" people out of the system. With the advent of the computer, and bank cards, very very soon, money is going to be obsolete.
It is happening, and there is nothing that will stop it. No-one will be able to buy groceries or anything without this card.
It will be said to be a good thing, because when all transactions are accounted for by
computer, tax evasion will be impossible, large drug transactions cannot take place because it would require major amounts of cash
changing hands...and the computers would keep track of it all. The 666 system will be (in my opinion) the bank card. But bank cards can be lost or stolen,
so instead, the microchip will be implanted in the palm of the right hand, or in the forehead. Let's face it folks...they have been
implanting these same microchips in animals for years now. This has paved the way, and we already know it works. Within this same chip,
will be all your medical info, license and criminal record info. It is already possible for a sattelite in outer space to pick up a farmer's cow with
a microchip in it, and get all the information on that cow. Human beings are next. They will call it progress. I call it "The Mark of the Beast".
THE SIGNS
Jesus tells us in His word (the bible) to keep watch for the signs of the end.
What are these signs? Let's take a look through some various scriptures...
[Mat 24:3] As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, "Tell us, when will this be, and
what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?"
[Mat 24:4] And Jesus answered them, "Take heed that no one leads you astray.
For many will come in my name, saying, `I am the Christ,' and they will lead many astray.
And you will hear of wars and rumors of wars; see that you are not alarmed; for this must take place, but the
end is not yet.For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes
in various places.
MY POINT: Our world is being torn apart by wars, worse than ever in history. Also, earthquakes
are ever more frequent, and in places where there have not been earthquakes before. Our weather has been changing,
and we are seeing famines of horrific proportions all over the world.
[Mat 24:14] And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole world, as a testimony to all nations;
and then the end will come.
MY POINT:The gospel of Jesus has been preached throughout the world already. There are very few places in our world that Christianity has not touched.
The Billy Graham Crusades are televised all over the world, and missionaries are going into countries where Christianity has been banned for centuries.
And Jesus warns that when He is about to return, no-one will even know it. They will be about their everyday business...
[Mat 24:38-39] For as in those days before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until
the day when Noah entered the ark,and they did not know until the flood came and swept them all away, so will be the coming of the Son of
man.
MORE SIGNS OF THE END
[2Tim 3:1-5] But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of stress.
For men will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents,
ungrateful, unholy,inhuman, implacable, slanderers, profligates, fierce, haters of good,
treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God,
holding the form of religion but denying the power of it. Avoid such people.
MY POINT:It would seem that these days the one thing that most people hold highest in value
is monetary gain, or material possessions. While many starve to death, the rich horde up wealth for themselves, often not caring
who they hurt to get it.
As for "having a form of religion, but denying the power of it", this points to the latest craze of the "NEW AGE" movement.
Instead of seeking the true God, people are considering themselves to be gods, and are seeking knowledge from psychics
rather than the Lord God Himself. It is easier to be a part of a "religion" that gratifies the ego, rather than the true
religion, Jesus, Who asks for self sacrifice. The new age movement denies the deity of Jesus Christ.
The rest of the scripture pretty much speaks for itself...man is descending into a pit of corruption. We read in the papers
every day about the murders, wife and child abuse, prostitution, drug and alcahol abuse. As we enter into the new millenium,
we see the whole of humanity spiraling ever downward. Children are murdering their own parents, each other, killing for pleasure
and for money.
THE BIBLE PROPHECIES ALL OF THIS HAPPENING! It is time to open your eyes! JESUS IS ABOUT TO RETURN!
