July 24, 2000 Frank Erwin Center, Austin, TX
Heading to the show, it was me, my friend Gabe, his brother Albert and a relative of theirs. I think this was about 12 noon that day, and was one of those I wanted because of the sign in the background showing the RAW logo. Of course it was taken with the disposable I had brought that day and not the zoom-capable one I bought especially for the event.
The FRANK ERWIN CENTER. I've been there a few times already, and this particular event marked the third time I had ever been in it. The first 2 were WWF events: one house show and one RAW taping (back when RAW was filmed on Monday and Tuesday) This would be the first LIVE televised show I had been to.
Just to give you an idea of A: the crappy seats I got and B: just how packed a place gets when the WWF comes around. See the two lights at the lower right of the pic? Those two messed up a number of potentially clear pics the whole night.
CHRIS BENOIT confronted Commissioner MICK FOLEY, demanding a re-match for the WWF World Heavyweight belt that he got screwed out of winning the night before (forgot the PPV). The dancing idiot behind MICK is SHANE McMAHON.
So clear it was beautiful. The famous pyro-ladden openning to RAW IS WAR. Once I got the pictures developed, I was shocked to see that I managed to get the rockets as they were launching, and not after they had exploded. I got another that's just as clear, but with the trails of both rockets in view. I will say this though, despite the seats you could feel the heat from the pyros nonetheless.
One of the few match pictures I took that was clear enough to see what was happening. This one was STEVE BLACKMAN against THE ROAD DOGG for the WWF Hardcore title. Or it might have been a regular match, I don't remember. I'll have to find the tape that recorded all this for me while I was out.
I nearly got into trouble for these two. I had to leave my area, and tried to get down as low as I could so I could get the pics of the intros to both KURT ANGLE and the American Bad Ass THE UNDERTAKER. Wish I could have gotten closer, but I didn't want to run the risk of getting thrown out.

If I remember correctly, this was a tag-team match with KURT ANGLE and SHANE McMAHAON vs THE UNDERTAKER and the returning BIG SHOW. What it wound up becoming was a screw job against THE UNDERTAKER by everyone in the ring.
The WWF always does a little extra for the fans in attendance by putting on some more that doesn't get shown on TV. At the end of the night, SHANE McMAHON had come out and was trying to get the WWF Champion, THE ROCK, to re-join the new and improved CORPORATION, of which THE ROCK had previously been a member. At first it seemed that ROCK had agreed, but then toyed with SHANE, culminating in him placing SHANE in the ROCK BOTTOM not once, not twice, but THREE times.
